Let me preface this by saying that I'm from Europe and am fortunate to be able to enjoy authentic Mediterranean cuisine several times each year. About Saffron: The wait staff were friendly and professional, and the environment was lovely (albeit loud once it got busy). The food was decently well prepared and edible. Now here's my gripe with this place:... More

For a small city, Walla Walla has wonderful restaurants. The wine community here obviously encourages superior cuisine. We always enjoy Saffron, but especially so in winter when the small, softly lit dining room, decorated with pieces which look to be from Turkey and North Africa, is warmly welcoming. On our last visit, our server took us through the entire menu... More

Saffron is best for those who enjoy big flavors and eclectic choices. The main dining room is preferable to the stark back space and wine choices are not always the best so not a bad idea to bring your own. Can be excellent.

We were not familiar with Mediterranean cuisine. Therefore, the menu was hard for us to follow at first. However, we were saved and entertained and handheld by our server (Kimi). She helped us construct a beautiful three-course meal that my wife and I shared. Exciting combinations, fresh & local ingredients, delicious wine & cocktails. We were over the moon about... More

My friend is Italian. We ordered Agnolotti as an appetizer to share among the three of us. My friend took the first bite and teared up - saying it tasted just like his grandma's. That's high praise. Saffron was an unexpected dining surprise. The food - everything - was great. We had the Beef Cheeks, Monkfish Caldo Verde, Lamb Shoulder.... More

A very enjoyable restaurant. Suggest you make reservations. The menu items are very uniquely prepared and very tasty. There were four in our party and we all had something different and all of us were impressed. The waitress couldn't have been more attentive and congenial.

I absolutely love this place. The flavors and creativity in every dish always amaze my taste buds. Good variety of wine, including digestives. We just had a pear pie with a blue cheese ice-cream, they were heavenly! Not to mention the main dishes, lamb, duck, or steak are to die for. Good ambiance and service.

Wow what a dinner! The perfect way to start off a wine weekend in Walla Walla. After researching places on Yelp we decided on having dinner here. After reading the reviews on Yelp it was concluded that we would have amazing food but so-so service. Having our expectations ready we arrived for our reservations (which you should have as this... My one night in WallaWalla and I was disappointed here. Most of my disappointment comes from me being vegetarian and this restaurant only having one vegetarian option. When I asked the waiter what else was available for vegetarians, he stumbled and stuttered unable to offer suggestions. I had salad and flatbread. The other disappointment was how busy the place was.... More

We had lamb shoulder and Tono flatbread, finished the meal with honey black pepper ice cream. Delicious. Good wine selection.
