2552 Kalakaua Ave is interesting. DK Restaurants operates two restaurants out at the same address: "DK Steakhouse" and "Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar". On my first night in Waikiki, I knew that I didn't want to wander too far from my accommodation; and if possible, I wanted a good steak. The Waikiki Beach Marriot was less than a block away from my hotel, so I decided to explore the complex. That's how I stumbled onto DK Steakhouse. As I was dining by myself, I chose to dine at the bar. This allowed me to be seated quickly, on an otherwise busy Saturday evening. In spite of being less formal, I don't feel like I received a lesser level of service during my dining experience. To start, I ordered the wedge salad ($8.00). For the main course, I ordered the 7oz filet mignon ($50.00), with the addition of Crab Oscar ($12.00), and a baked potato ($8.50). During my meal, I also ordered gin and tonic ($8.00) and a locally brewed IPA ($8.00). The wedge salad consisted of chilled iceberg lettuce, with confetti of crumbled egg, bacon and diced tomatoes. In my experience, I've had wedge salads which use Romaine lettuce. Regardless, this salad was light, crisp and refreshing, as I had hoped. The petite filet was as good as one could want from a premium cut of beef. The Crab Oscar was a nice accompaniment. The baked potato was sizable; and under certain circumstances, I could see it shared by two people. The bottom line is that the meal was good, so I had a second meal at DK Steakhouse before I left the island. And I plan to visit again during my upcoming trip to HNL. The meals here are at the higher end of price point; however, this restaurant provided ambiance, service--and good food.

Lorenzo had a super personality and we enjoyed his conversation. The mahi-mahi was superb along with the beautiful plates veggies. The potato soup Of the day was interesting with little taste. The strip steak was poor quality and non cooked rare as ordered. The ice cream for dessert was perfect.

Very full from the starters but we finished Great service and atmosphere. They even brought out a complimentary chocolate cake for our anniversary

worst service, unskilled service personnel. We had a Hawaii goodbye dinner on 06/11 with my husband in d.k steakhouse. We ordered two appetizers, the second one was served 20 minutes after the first one, making the other person wait for 20 minutes. The Ceasar salad was not fresh. It had only hearts and almost no leaves. They served the red wine cold out of the fridge. After we were done whit appetizers nobody bothered to clean up the table. When they served the main course the dirty appetizer plates were still on the table, waiter yelled to me: " take the plates out of my way" and then tossed the entree plates on a table. Luckily for us, it didn't break. The waiter didn't use the stand-up table to serve the entree. We waited another 20 minutes for the waiter to make the payment.

My wife and I dined there on 06/11/202. It was the last day of our vacation and it was ruined. We ordered two appetizers and one was served almost immediately whereas the other was served about 15-20 minutes later, this didn't bode well and we embraced for more surprises and they didn't make us wait: after we finished the appetizers we were sitting in front of the dirty plates for 20 minutes which no one bothered to take away, then a men from the kitchen appeared at hour table holding two plates in his hands, he yelled at me: " get the plates out of my way" and then through the plates with the food on the table, they rumbled , bounced, but finally landed somewhere on the table in one piece, he turned around and left apparently proud of himself. Steak was OK, but appetite was lost. After waitress gave us a check , she simply disappeared , after sitting for 15-20 minutes for her to take the payment I had to look for a manager to pay the check. There are other steakhouses on Waikiki , I would recommend going somewhere else. Apparently restaurant staff has to go to a waiter's school or somewhere to learn etiquette.

Seats were uncomfortable in the booth. Wine selection was poor for a steakhouse of this caliber (there were no Italian red options at all). The blue crab appetizer was great. The “dinner special” only allowed for garlic mashed potatoes with no subs, even though the other sides were priced the same or lower. The aged rib-eye was good, but very tough and grisly. The petite filet was good, but average for a top steakhouse. There are probably much better options in downtown Honolulu to choose from in this price range. Oh and a wine glass broke at the stem halfway through our meal. The only thing thing that was memorable was the service, our waiter was very good.

My son bought us a gift card for my 55th birthday and our vow renewal or we wouldn't have known about this Waikiki gem. Reservations were easy to make and when we arrived we were greeted with warm welcome and smiling faces. We got to sit out on the balcony all by ourselves so we enjoyed the sunset and time together. Our waitress came out got our drink order, she also asked if we had any questions about anything on the menu but we didn't. She then made numerous recommendations on accompliments for the steaks and wines. Our waitress was amazing and so attentive to us even though we were away from her other tables. We ordered a New York strip, baked potato and ceaser salad. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted so very delicious, we were so happy my son got us the gift card. Please know items are sold separately and not as a meal but it's 100% worth the money. They even brought me some sorbet with a candle in it for my birthday. It was just a very wonderful evening and meal.

Restaurant delayed seating. Seats so uncomfortable they offer cushions. Surreal. Food quality - New York steak was cooked well but the jus was tasteless, and steak average. Not worth the price. I’d rate it at a level below RockPool. They were out of 4 sides, 1 was roast potatoes but could provide fries, made from potato. Proving they were almost identical to McDonalds fries. Drink pours are too small and over priced. Do not recommend.

Amazing experience! I got the 30 day aged steak with the shrimp and lobster mashed potatoes and it was to die for! Very tender and easy to cut. I went with my boyfriend and we spent around 200 dollars in total and that includes cocktails as well! Definitely will be coming back!

This is a very expensive restaurant. We split a dinner, which I recommend. We also ordered wine by the glass. It is a lovely restaurant and the food is first class. We ordered a filet with lobster tails. It was great, but the first filet was so tough that I thought it was round steak. We asked for a replacement filet. The replacement was marvelous. This location is very difficult to find. We got lost in the hotel, asked directions twice, but finally found it. Like many steak houses, it is dark. I prefer a more Hawaiian experience. But that is my personal bias. I gave it 4 stars because of the first steak being tough and the location being dark. Just my humble opinion.

I want to express my warmest mahalo to Frank and Mark for the best 22 oz aged ribeye of my life. I gnawed the ribeye cap off the bone by holding the steak in my hands and letting the juicy fat get in my mouth. I also want to thank the bartender and the host for exemplary service. Definitely a 5 star rating. Again many many mahalo.

My husband and I had dinner at d.k Steakhouse Monday evening. Everything was spectacular, from the delicious Caesar salad (exquisitely dressed) to the aromatic, creamy mashed potatoes, to the amazingly tender New York and filet mignon steaks. The Negroni I ordered was, indeed, The Perfect Negroni. I would be remiss in failing to mention Lorenzo, our ‘server,’ who was engaging, entertaining, and efficient. This was our second visit to this wonderful restaurant, and we plan to return again and again.

Our waiter knew his business, everything he suggested was perfect. The 30 day dry aged ribeye was the best steak I have ever eaten. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The crab dip appetizer was fantastic as well.

Worst steak ever had in USA. $85 USD eye filet steak alone , mainly fat. Happy to pay but have to serve something decent. Rest food was ok. Wouldn’t go back

Saved this restaurant for our last night in Honolulu. Service was exceptional and servers/management was friendly. Relaxed setting and food was delivered in a non rushed fashion. The calamari was wonderful, my catch of the day was great and very tasty, the lobster tails were wonderful. Caesar salad was huge and great. Cozy atmosphere.
