Lots of choices for cuisine - but prices are still at typical Honolulu levels. Loved the diversity of types offered.

So if you're like me and don't really care much for food courts, then you might want to take a look at this place anyway. Like most other foodcourts seating is difficult, there is lots of noise and it is really difficult to get some calm and quite to accompany your meal. So this is what you'll experience here as... I don't think there's a bigger or more well-rounded food court around, with around 30 tenants and at 100% occupancy. They have almost every kind of ethnic food available, along with specialty drinks and desserts. The food court has always been a bit dreary but they're currently in renovation mode, again. You don't always want a 5 star place to chow down. The Makai food court at the Ala Moana Center can be the spot to pick up your morning coffee and bagel, or lunch and dinner menus that should satisfy most people. The area is clean cafeteria style dining, families will like it. After dinner you can get some exercise... More

It was not as good as the last time I was there. Lots of construction going on, thus making seating more difficult. We had the Street Tacos with Carnitas and Nachos with Shredded Chicken from Señor Pepe. Both were unremarkable this time around and the nachos were on the cold side. Lots of ethnic choices as well and lots to... More

It could be just a regulat food court in a mall, but the variety of food choices was really impressive.

Unless you live near Ala Moana Shopping Center, you'll never get a chance to try everything here in a short visit to Honolulu! This is one huge food court!! Every type of ethnic food imaginable...Hawaiian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Mexican, Italian, American...I could go on & on. You get the food & find a place to sit in an area... More

Impressive variety of food for choice. Tried Chinatown Express, Panda Express, Sbarro Italian Eatery. Food was ok, not great. the Chinese food was quite oily.
