Hoku's, I believe is the 2nd best brunch restaurant on the island. I feel Halekulani surpasses Hoku's with a wider selection of food/desserts and unrivaled service. The service is very good at Hoku's however it is a step ahead at Halekulani's. Example, At Halekulani's when you return to your table after getting more food, you will find your glasses refilled... Our amuse bouche was BBQ salmon that was very good. Then both my wife and I had tempura prawn, avocado, and aspargus which was good, but the batter was too heavy. Then we had lightly macadamia encrusted onauga, which was quite good. Dessert was an excellent chocolate coulant, which was the best course of the evening. The servers were working... More

Beautiful setting for dinner. My husband and I shared two of the classics which were outstanding: Hoku's ahi poke musubi which was cut into quarters for easy sharing and the crisp wok fried prawns with ginger rice. We enjoyed it so much we can came for the same thing the next night!

We went for an early Valentine's dinner. We live less than 5 minutes away and had not eaten here yet. We were pleasantly surprised. I had the Degustation Menu and my husband had the Prefix Menu and we shared. It was many amazing courses over a 2 1/2 hour time period. Everything was amazing! Food was fresh and creative. Each... Hoku's is a must do in Honolulu. It's so nice, we dined there twice during our stay at the Kahala. Fantastic, innovative and fresh cuisine. Great wine list, and impeccable service. Mr. Mikio Tomioka and his team deliver a world class dining experience. A special thank you to Chris & Taryn for taking such great care of us, and making... More

So I was here for my honeymoon, and it was surely a dinner to remember. The restaurant was quiet, so it definitely felt like an intimate setting. The views were stunning, but what really stood out was the service. Our server was so informative and friendly and extremely polite. The food was quite an experience! We had a prix fixe... More

This is THE place on the Oahu island to go for a sophisticated, delectable dinner. It's an easy 15 min drive from the Waikiki area. Note the drive in on Google maps takes you thru a residential section, but you're headed in the right direction. It's located in the lovely Kahala Hotel. Remember there's a dress code (which we were... More

Hoku's is located in the Kahala Hotel. The hotel is a few miles south of the Waikiki strip and away from the other hotels. We were there to celebrate our son's birthday belatedly, since his birthday was the end of December. Our family vacation was in January, and we were coming from all over the place. Our son and his... We had dinner here after a local friend recommended it. Beautiful setting and away from busy Waikiki, which was a treat! The chef's catch of the day was amazing. Service was a little slow & there's no outside seating to enjoy surroundings, but overall a good choice for a dinner out.

Hoku's at The Kahala Hotel & Resort is heralded for its innovative fusion fare which melds Hawaiian, Asian, Mediterranean and European flavors. The restaurant's twist on contemporary Island cuisine ensures that it is consistently ranked as one of Hawaii's best restaurants. Hoku's has a breathtaking beach-side setting with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from every table in the multi-level dining room. Also competing for guest's attention is the open kitchen featuring fiery hot woks, a kiawe wood grill, and tandoori and wood-burning ovens.
