1st time was stunning. wine pairing with dinner is the way. 2nd time was mediocre and the food was bland, service was poor on New Year's Eve. You take your chances with $100 a cover.

Our last night in Hawaii, and our long-awaited booking at Chef Mavro was finally upon us, and we were certainly not disappointed. While the decor was a little understated, (according to my wife), I explained we were here for the food, not the surroundings. And...More

Chef Mavro is a beautiful restaurant with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We selected an appetizer and four course dinner for two which was excellent! Each plate presented to us was a piece of art, perfect in size and amazing in taste!

This restaurant is nice, good wine pairings and very good quality food, it just isn't one of my favorites compared to other higher end places around the area (Alan Wongs, Hy's, Le Bistro etc.).

Many awards. 9 course Prix fixe meal, or choose from "small plates." Chose the latter as chef's meal was too expensive. Small plates is an understatement. Food was good, but not at those prices. Wait staff was very polite. Wouldn't recommend.More

Thank you for taking time to post. We're glad you thought the "food was good" and "wait staff polite." That is good to hear of course. We accept that what we offer is too expensive for your criteria. But we ask you to consider that...More
