The line is long but the malasadas are definitely worth it. We tried multiple flavors, but the original was my favorite.

Highly recommended, we decided to try Leonard's out on a rainy Saturday morning. The line was literally wrapped around the building. As we waited we passed the time by talking to others. Locals encouraged us to stay in line. An hour later, a warm box...of malasadas were passed to us and yes, definitely worth the wait. We inhaled 2 of them, in the rain, a moment and taste I'll never forget.More

We were staying somewhere and kept driving by noticing long lines and thought hmm it must be great! So my husband dropped me off and had to park up the road. Parking is limited. The line was wrapped around the building and more kept showing...up and yep many 1st timers. I love the fact that it's been open since 1957 and is still booming even through the pandemic. When you go inside there's a limit of like 6 people currently with a face mask required. They always have a flavor of the month and it was pumpkin and it was amazing. We got custard yum yum, chocolate was too sugary jmo, and macadamia. I advise anyone to order a variety so your not let down. And you'll be cleaning the sugar off of your hands lol. They also sell lunch meat inside of some and it was good too. The line seems to always be long but it moves pretty good. I'd go here again. I would not order chocolate again though. Custard has to be #1. And come early because they will run out of flavors if you wait til after 1 or 2. We ordered a vanilla iced latte and it was real good too.More

I had heard about the malasadas and the reviews were not wrong. OMG, so good. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but the pastries are delivered still warm and it’s definitely worth the lines.

Their Malasadas are great. You should eat them while they are hot. If you left it overnite, warm them up before eating or it will be hard. Make sure you leave yourself lots of time, they make the malasadas when you order them. The line...to order is pretty long too.More

The doughnut is certainly a 5, but for the filling I give a 3, hence a average of 4. They don’t skimp on the amount of filling, but where they’re lacking IMO is that, for example, the guava is not a fruit filling, but rather...a guava flavored pudding.More

SO delicious and a must experience right out of the oven! My fave is the cream filled but they are all delicious Hawaiian experiences!

I dream about these Malasadas at night. My wait was about 44 minutes. If you get there before 7am, it isn’t too bad. Do yourself a favor and just get the filled ones. Amazing!!

Highly recommend the malasadas and the bread. Really tasty! The wait wasn't terrible although its hard to know how many people were in front of us so it felt longer than it actually was. The worst part was trying to find a place to park....The parking lot is very small and parking on the street is almost impossible. But the desserts are worth the hassle!More

Yes. My son has nut allergies and he was good. No issues. I would ask just to be sure.

as for the donuts, they should not be any dairy in the dough. but if you are asking if there is anything other than milk such as soy milk, almond milk and rice milk, I'm not sure. I do know that coffee is available.

You may want to try Champion's malasadas instead, although the business is currently up for sale. I have heard arguments by malasada connoisseurs about whose malasada is better; Leonards or Champions. Personally I greatly... More
