YUM. Amazing service, amazing fish and even better cocktails. The plates were varied and tasty although the portion size is big. You could probably get away with one starter between three. The staff were super attentive and friendly. You need to pick the right time...to go, otherwise you'll be faced with a long long line. Try 4:30 on a weekday. Around 5 it starts to get very busy. Must check it out!More

We were recommended to this restaurant by a local in Waikiki and after we saw the line outside we knew we were at the right place. There are no frills or fancy tables, just very fresh fish cooked and served promptly after ordering at the...counter. We both had Ono, which was one of about 5 different choices, and the fish came with a choice of cooking style and with various side dishes. The portions were large and both my wife and I agreed this was the best fish out of our 8 days in Hawaii. The restaurant also has a selection of wine and beer. A perfect meal for our last night in Hawaii and a bonus was the meal was very reasonably priced.More

Extremely popular and busy spot specializing in fish but also having other fare. Don’t be put off by the lines – they move quite fast. You order at the counter and then find a table. It is not at all fine dining but the fish...is superb. I had halibut – among the best I have ever tasted and my wife had shrimp fajitas. Good choice of wines as well. Overall, a great dining experience and very reasonably pricedMore

We arrived in Waikiki on Feb 18th, and even tho' we were staying across the street from this restaurant, we didn't try it until Feb 29th. This place had been recommended to us from our hotel concierge, that the fish and chips were wonderful, and...she was eating it, as we spoke to her. So, that's what we ended-up getting, but for lunch, as we noticed the long line-up for dinner, from our first night onward. A line every day of the week! People lined-up for dinner quite early, before we were ready to eat! So hubby brought the fish and chips and cole slaw back to our hotel pool, where we split the meal. The fish came in a wide stick form (deep-fried fish fingers), 3 pieces, and it was lightly breaded and so fresh tasting. The skinny fries were tasty as well! We liked it so much, that a few days later, we did the same thing, bringing the fish lunch back to the pool.More

Excellent value for fresh and delicious food. It is a fun atmosphere and don’t be deterred by the line. It moves quickly. We all enjoyed our meals and we’re unable to finish the large portions. Fresh fish, very nice sides and it was enjoyed by...everyone in our family.More

For Waikiki this restaurant was reasonably price. The fish was fresh but over cooked. Not a high end restaurant, you wait online to order, get a number and they bring to your table. If you are looking for a date night restaurant—this ain’t it.

Absolutely the best cooked, freshest fish I've ever enjoyed. Mahi Mahi and Ahi Tuna flame- grilled to perfection. It's well worth the wait in line.

This is my go to place when in Waikiki. The Cajun grilled Mahi Mahi is moist, fresh and super flavorful. The fresh grilled fish is served with tangy coleslaw and a choice of home potatoes, French fries or Cajun rice. I personally don’t like their...French fries or fried calamari- just saying…the portions are very generous and fish is probably 6-8 ounces. One plate could be shared if the appetites aren’t too large.More

When we arrived and saw the long line, we debated waiting. But, the line moves well and what else do you have to do, you’re in a Hawaii! The food was well worth the wait! The entire group of 6 said it was the tastiest...fish and chips we’ve had on our stay and wished we’d have stopped earlier . We wondered about finding a table for our group, but they’re well organized and had a table for us before our food was ready, (one of the kids had a burger , which was just ok, but it is a fish market.) it is street side, order at the counter, find a seat and they bring your order to your table- not fine dining if that’s what you want. The food and service are great and highly recommend you visit!More

We went here because of TA reviews and found it OK, but not exemplary as most reviews said. The venue was rustic and not especially comfortable. The food was good and more than ample. Fish tacos were very good as was seafood pita (though rich).

It's busy for a reason. Great value Ono and Mahi. Fries were also great. Outdoor seating and indoor available as well as to go if you want to take it to the beach a mile down the road.

Incredible place! Fish was off the chain. We had blackened ahi, which came with cajun rice, and Best coleslaw. Their onion rings are Best I've had in ages. Gotta be hand made. Run, don't walk to this incredible fish restaurant. If there is a line,...get in and wait your turn. You will NOT regret itMore

We tried to get in here our first night but the line was out the door and an hour wait. Next evening we arrived early around 5:30 and only about 15 minutes. The fish was excellent. We had the snapper and mahi-mahi charbroiled. You pick...the sides. Of rice or potatoes and has coleslaw. Order, find a table and enjoy. A lot of food. Not pricey and delicious!!More

We were here last year and from the time i got on the plane on the way out here, all I could think of was returning to Paia! My tastebuds remembered well. I got the chargrilled Mahi and spouse got fried shrimp. Both of us...were very pleased with our dinner! This place is not fancy, but it is certainly worth the trip! We found that by 530 pm, there is a line so I suggest going for an early dinner or a late lunch!More

This is place easily has the potential to become a 5-star experience, but I give it 4 stars because the service experience is mostly inefficient and they can do a better job with cleanliness. Otherwise, the food is consistently delicious; the seafood is fresh and...every item we ordered was flavorful. A bit pricey, but overall good value for the money. If you're visiting Waikiki Beach, I highly recommend you visit Paia Fish Market.More
