Looked at the reviews for short ribs in Waikiki and this place came highly recommended. Well they tasted good, but the cut of meat was so fatty I couldn't find meat in it and sent it back. The replaced dish was no different. . The owner went out of her way to show me the cut and gave me a... More

Food is very tasty. The service is very good and efficient. The atmosphere is lively. A 15% service charge is automatic when you get the bill, which is more than fine with me. Overall, I would give it 5 stars and go back again in the next few days.

If you were trying for the famous noodle place Marukame and the line is very long, duck around the corner to Mikawon. My companion, who has lived in Korea, pronounced the food authentic and well prepared. Clientele seems to be mostly local, prices are moderate, service is pleasant and competent.

Have been here a number of times. We love the Korean Gyoza, can't think of what the name is on the menu. We love the bimbenbap and all the side dishes that come with it and the Korean sauce. We like the one in the hot pot, otherwise it comes in a stainless bowl, not as good in my opinion.... More

Got in late to Waikiki and needed food! Our old fav, Me Barbecue, was closed so we wandered a bit and found Mikawon. Judged by all the Koreans eating there that it would be authentic, and it was. Six small dishes accompanied our Kalbi Ribs and rice. Everything was spot on. Lots of ribs to share. At $24 it seemed... More

Great food in a comfortable setting. Its entrance is around the corner from the busy street so most tourists don't seem to see it. We always seek out this restaurant because we've had such good food here in the past decade. This trip, we had dinner here twice. Our favorite main was the steaming pot with vegetables over rice (I... More

Great Korean restaurant tucked away on Kuhio Ave. I enjoyed the friendly service staff, tasty food and ambience. The Kalbi beef portion was very good but definitely not enough to make you full.

The food is traditional Korean with a clientele that is virtually all Korean. The food is excellent and the place has a good vibe. The staff could not be more attentive. Always checking to make sure that we were doing OK and added additional helpings of the side dishes. Wonderful time. Good Korean beer also.

Authentic popular korean food! Very friendly service even if they are very busy. They don't speak much english but you have the pictures to guide you in your choice. Go early or late!
