My wife and I went for lunch and the food was wonderful. It is a little hidden place off the main road. It is about 1-3 miles away from the Hilton Village but well worth the trip. Prepare to spend about $10-$15 per person if you like Indian food. I have to thank my sister in law who recommended the... More

This was our first time here. Our first choice for Indian food was closed. Atmosphere was average. The service was good- it would have been better if they took away the dirty dishes. Dal and eggplant tikka masala were very good. Coconut rice was good but didn't taste like coconut rice. The spicy shrimp was terrible. It was made with... More

Amazing food. I tried their lamb samosas, veg pakoras, coconut rice, naan bread, Indian salad, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, fish korma, and lamb vindaloo. BYOB, we brought some blue moon to go with everything. We had a reservation and they told us to park at Super Cuts or City Mill. Supercuts was $2! :)

First of all location is awkward. Parking is difficult to find. If you succeed in both, get disappointed by not so good quality of food. Service is also problem

4 of us had a lovely dinner of the assorted vegetarian appetizer (veg samosa, pakora and papadam) plain and cilantro naan, aloo saag, eggplant tikka masala, aloo ghoobi, and for our 1 non vegetarian, chicken tikka masala. We had it all "family style" sharing all the dishes and rice. The naan are huge and were delicious as was every dish.... More

We went as a group 6 of us and we ordered family-style & got five different entrées and shared them... this was some of the best Indian food we all had ever had! I highly recommend it!

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. OWNER/SERVER IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND ARROGANT. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON OVERPRICED BLAND LOW QUALITY FOOD. It is a '0' star restaurant. I have had Indian food around the world including Europe, USA (mainland), Japan etc but the food at Cafe Taj Mahal was disgusting. Well to begin with, this restaurant was... More

After reading the reviews on this place we thought we'd give it a try. We were not disappointed. Service was perfect. The food was delicious, the saag could have used a bit more spices, but it was still nicely done. We really enjoyed the BYOB option. The only draw back was the separate bathroom and having to ask for a... More

I love Indian food but it is hard to find in Hawaii and when you find it can be overpriced and not even made by Indians. Mama is in the kitchen.. this hole in the wall has great food.. is packed which tells you it is good.. you need a car because bus service from Waikiki to Waialae Ave sucks.... More
