I have been a frequent customer for years, and I always take our out of town visitors as it is the perfect place to get a cold or hot drink and a pastry while you sit and take in the gorgeous views of Newport Harbor. Customers are always greeted with friendly service too.

Found this gem on the end of Bannister's Wharf after a morning of walking around downtown Newport. I was greeted by Alyssa, the warm and welcoming barista of Coffee Grinder. She can make all sorts of coffee creations, but I am most partial to the regular black kind. It is always delicious, and the place always seems to be open!... More

We were in Newport for Restaurant Week and I am on the hunt for exceptional local coffee houses. I particularly lucked out when I discovered Coffee grinder at the end of Bannister's Wharf. Alyssa is amazing when it comes to coffee, cappuccino, and finger food ie cookies, etc. I made it a point to stop by at least 4 times... More

I'm not a big fan of chain store coffee shops. I like the small and quirky. This shop is small on size but big on personality and it's probably the nicest view I've had while drinking coffee.

It was a very blustery but, beautiful day in Newport ~ We stopped to have a cup of coffee and hot apple cider. Both were excellent and the Barista was wonderful! The view from the coffee shop was stunning too! I highly recommend!

An adorable hole-in-the-wall coffee shop. Strolled on the dock to the Coffee Grinder on a Monday morning while on vacation. The owner was very helpful in helping me pick out a drink to order- I ended up with something similiar to a flat white and it was fantastic. Quaint space with broad selection of coffee drinks and snacks. Best part... More

Stopped in before heading home for a nice coffee to take on the road. It's at the very end of the pier, right up against the boats and facing Newport Harbor. I got a double latte and my wife got a plain coffee. Both were very good. The location of the coffee shop is great because there's an outdoor seating... More

Fantastic service, fantastic views, fantastic coffee. Greeted by an adorably bubbly barista, outgoing, funny, and friendly. Small, cozy place near a pier. Sat out on the "porch" to watch the boats and enjoyed our perfect espressos and cappuccinos. Only slight downside was the Saran wrapped pastries, though they tasted good and were moist, I dislike wrapped pastries- I prefer pastries... More
