This small Newport restaurant provides tastes and textures that are unique. We love the fall off the bone ribs, the smoky Caesar salad, the spicy shrimp fajitas and tacos, and the blood orange margaritas and house sangria. The portions are generous and the prices are low. This is a favorite local spot so expect to wait for a table if... More

Perro Salado has a nice atmosphere and friendly service, but the food was not good. The salsa was extremely bland (like a cheap salsa from a jar) and the carnitas were hard to eat. The fish tacos seem to be the best bet, but we will not return.

This restaurant came highly recommended but was disappointing. Our table was dirty and sticky and the service was very slow. We were four couples and it was so noisy it was hard to carry on a conversation. The food was ok but not great. The only thing I was impressed by was the Margarita I ordered. That was outstanding. Barbara... More

This restaurant was once a favorite of ours, but now it is off our list. After waiting 45 minutes for our main course to come, our meals were tasteless. The fish tacos were cold and the so-called mahi-mahi looked like some kind of processed fish--it was cylindrical and very dried out. The enchiladas were in a small baking dish which... More

What a great find! Really delicious and not run of the mill Mexican food. Their cilantro, jalapeño margaritas were awesome! The restaurant itself is an old house. We sat in a little front room that was very cozy. They have outdoor seating which is probably great weather permitting but as we were there in October, it was closed. All the... More

Pork tacos, fish tacos not good at all. Mardritas really bad all of them. But quesadilla and sticking ribs were good. Took over an hour to get food and was not that busy for such a long wait. Would not go back.

We went here twice for drinks and appetizers and back again for dinner. What a busy place. Make reservations! The word is out! The avocado fries, pepper empanadas with black beans and cheese were amazing. The Sticky ribs were to die for. This is not a typical Mexican restaurant, but a unique menu that is just a bit off center... More

When you're tired of all the terrific seafood fare head to this great restaurant. You won't be disappointed. The chips and salsa with a side of guacamole were all great! The chips were warm and fresh and the salsa and guacamole were freshly prepared and seasoned perfectly. Margaritas were sublime! Service was friendly and helpful. My fish tacos were great... More

This is definitely the best place for Mexican cuisine in Newport. It gets a little crowded and loud inside when the outside patio is closed. I most definitely recommend this place.

This restaurant is amazing! The drinks were so good - margarita flavors I have never had before - the chips and guacamole were the best I have tasted - so fresh and so tasty - everything was superb - I am so glad we found this place - I only wish we could have eaten there another time - our...
