I've been a few times for lunch during the weekdays. I should try something else, but I always have the Jambalaya,,I'm sure the rest of the food is great also, I just like this and don't want to experiment.

Small place with great meals and a different menu. On some days you can get frog legs, alligator, and jumbalia that is really good. Corn bread comes with most dishes and good seafood.

Chef Wayne and his staff outdo themselves in creating Cajun cuisine. Anything on the menu is authentic Cajun and is just about as good as eating in NOLA. The fried oysters melt in your mouth after a satisfying crunch of thin fried batter. Crawfish quesadilla is a standard order. My favorite entree is the chicken etoufee. It's a small space... More

Went to Big Mamou for 1st time on Thursday afternoon. Pretty crowded as we got the last table. Went with the blackened chicken which was excellent (very moist) Cheese bread with corn was a great appetizer. After reading some of the reviews I was concerned about customer service but it turned out that the waitress and rest of staff were... More

lots of great stuff on the menu from fish, to pork, to chicken and beef so there is something for everyone. I asked the waitress what was best on the menu and she said order one of everything and she was right

The food is fantastic. Great Cajun food for the price. The lunch orders are just out of this world. A must stop.

Being from Louisiana, I love to hit this spot from time to time for some tastes from home. Chef Wayne put's his own twists on the recipes so they aren't exactly the same as what I grew up with, but close enough! We are in Massachusetts after all. The food is delicious! The place has great atmosphere and the staff... More

I don't give a lot of fives. The Big Mamou isn't a "fine dining and impeccable service" five, it's a "the food will me awesome and there's no telling what else will happen" five. Spontaneous raucous Happy Birthday for a patron? Waitress shares a shot with diners? Oh yeah and the food is awesome. Seriously, are you in the car... More

Food was good as usual. This is a byob restaurant, but management has started a $2 per table charge to bring your own drinks. This applies whether the table has 1 or ten customers and is a flat charge. So if you have 10 people only a 20 cent per person, one person pays $2. Didn't understand what costs the... More

The place is tiny, but somehow two waitresses can't keep up (and one was rude). We waited half an hour just to get sodas. I ran out of time and had to leave, but I can tell you the food at their other location (now closed) was not worth such a wait. It's not fresh-tasting and is just meh. Absolutely... More
