I traveled with a group of 11 for dinner. Reservations are suggested regardless of party size. Everything was wonderful from beginning to end. We started with cocktails outside and then moved to a private dining room on the 2nd floor, where we had 2 servers...More

Ate here midweek for dinner. I had the duck which was very good. My partner had the salmon which was also good. Service was attentive and courteous.

Enjoyed our dinner here. Service was excellent. It's a little crowded with tables so you might get bumped. And it can be a little noisy if a lot of people are dining. Varied and interesting menu. Corn and slaw soup was a hit. Steaks were...More

Great little hidden gem! Great cocktails, food, and service. Always a must when in Santa Fe! Very warm and inviting from the moment you walk through the door.

When presented with a bill of $84.70 for food and beverages, I added a $15.30 tip (18%) for a total charge of $100.00. However a few days later my credit card was charged $104.70 by this restaurant, and when I called to resolve this, the...More

Have eaten at the Compound 3 times this year. All three were disappointing. The first time we wanted to eat at the bar as we heard that was fun. We made a reservation (because the bar is small they take reservations for it). We arrived...More

Smart casual would be fine. Remember if you dine outside to bring something warm.

I cannot recall if they had any private rooms. I think if you contact them they may be able to set you up in some way.

Description
Mark Kiffin, celebrated chef, owner, and author of the Compound Restaurant, has won the James Beard Foundation award as one of America's Best Chefs. The Compound is Santa Fe's premier restaurant with Chef Kiffin's acclaimed seasonal Contemporary American cuisine derived from Santa Fe's rich heritage of regional and Mediterranean influences. The New York Times, Gourmet magazine, The Wall Street Journal and Wine Spectator have all selected the Compound as Santa Fe's favorite. Equally impressive is the attentive, highly knowledgeable and friendly staff. Chef Kiffin's menus focus on the exclusive changes in seasons such as hearty braised dishes in the fall and winter using apples, pears and cider from local harvests, osso bucco and porcini risotto while in spring and summer feature fresh local vegetables and naturally raised organic lamb and delectable strawberries.
