The food was good, and the servings were large. We both had ham and eggs (the special) and the ham steak was huge. But the potatoes were greasy and cooked unevenly. Our server did a good job of taking care of us with ample refills on drinks, etc.

We stopped here for breakfast. Place was full of locals and business travelers. Service was fast and efficient and the food was wonderful. Really well appointed and very clean.

The Tecolote (means owl in local Spanish) is famous for its breakfasts. Large spacious quarters, bustling atmosphere, with people making biscuits in full view. Fast, snappy service, great food. Moved from Cerrillos to St. Michaels.

The resturant is a decent breakfast place but has no atmosphere . ( I looked at dirty dishes in the cart) during breakfast. I will say my food was tasty... however, the breadbasket selections were a bit over cooked and dry. My husbands omelette was good and the potatoes good. Coffee was good. I do think the staff is well... More

We went for breakfast and I was surprised by how large and open the new space was. It was only partially full when we got there, but full to the brim when we left, but still there was good service. We got the Sheepherder's breakfast and the frittata. Both were ok, but not outstanding. The chili on the frittata was... More

This was our first visit to Tecolote in their new location and I'm happy to report that it is as good as ever and as great customer service as ever. Food was awesome: I had fish tacos and husband had the classic breakfast burrito. Came with a bakery basket that we couldn't finish but took with us. Coffee was good... More

The breakfast potatoes are fantastic and the fresh-baked muffins are a treat. Coffee is good as well.

This was our first visit to the new location of Tecolate. Service was fast and attentive, and the food was excellent. My husband ordered 2 blueberry pancakes, and each was the size of a large dinner plate. Our son had the breakfast burrito, smothered in red chile and reported that it was very tasty. Another son had French toast on... More

Tecolote Cafe was started in 1980 by Bill and Alice Jennison with a desire to feed guests great meals, affordably, with superior service. Mr. Bill and Alice's recipes have been pleasing palettes for 31 years. In May of 2010, sadly, we lost Mr. Bill after a long and accomplished life. Since August 2010, Katherine Adkins (Bill and Alice's daughter) and her husband Matt Adkins have been doing their best to honor Mr. Bill and Ms. Alice's vision in carrying on the family business. Sadly we also lost Ms.Alice in December of 2012. We offer a varied menu focusing primarily on New Mexican breakfast and lunch cuisine, as well as some American favorites. We bake all of our breads in house as well as our muffins and biscuits contained in our bakery basket. A little known secret to our great burgers? Fresh baked Kaiser rolls to vehicle our superb patties and ingredients. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, we are sure you will be pleased with our delectable choices and our warm, friendly atmosphere. If you aren't, just let us know so we can make your experience everything you hoped for!Katie and I can't wait to see you on your next visit. So, come on in, and remember, we serve "Great breakfast, No toast!", just for you.
