If you're looking to experience real Santa Fe food away from the plaza, Tecolote is the place to go. Get ready to wait for a while on weekends as it is a local favorite. Great food with a little bit of everything. Even nice sample...More

Love this place for breakfast/brunch/lunch! I generally travel solo so I get right in by sitting at the counter. No exception in November, 2017. The Bakery Basket is so excellent. Which is bad. Because I eat all of it! I had only recently learned what...More

Good place for breakfast, but their dinner menu (NM food and burgers) is pretty awful. Not well prepared and the chile is hotter than heck!

We had not visited Tecolote in their new location but were happy to see that their wonderful food and great service had not changed.

They serve good plates. But as you might know, Santa Fe is well know for outstanding restaurants serving Northern New Mexico favorites. Plenty of off street parking and good service.

If you are hungry, the Tecolote Cafe is the place to have breakfast, and be sure to ask for the Bakery Basket with your order. We got there on a Saturday by about 8:30 in the morning and were seated immediately and served coffee. We...More

Fantastic every time! Delicious house made breads, authentic New Mexican favorite, excellent service. It's a Santa Fe staple. We always make a meal here a priority when in Sant Fe.

Tecolote Cafe was started in 1980 by Bill and Alice Jennison with a desire to feed guests great meals, affordably, with superior service. Mr. Bill and Alice's recipes have been pleasing palettes for 31 years. In May of 2010, sadly, we lost Mr. Bill after a long and accomplished life. Since August 2010, Katherine Adkins (Bill and Alice's daughter) and her husband Matt Adkins have been doing their best to honor Mr. Bill and Ms. Alice's vision in carrying on the family business. Sadly we also lost Ms.Alice in December of 2012. We offer a varied menu focusing primarily on New Mexican breakfast and lunch cuisine, as well as some American favorites. We bake all of our breads in house as well as our muffins and biscuits contained in our bakery basket. A little known secret to our great burgers? Fresh baked Kaiser rolls to vehicle our superb patties and ingredients. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, we are sure you will be pleased with our delectable choices and our warm, friendly atmosphere. If you aren't, just let us know so we can make your experience everything you hoped for!Katie and I can't wait to see you on your next visit. So, come on in, and remember, we serve "Great breakfast, No toast!", just for you.
