We stopped here for breakfast on our visit and were heartened to see several police cars parked outside. A big, airy restaurant with friendly service and fast delivery. I had huevos rancheros (green).

Stopped in for breakfast late one Saturday. There was a wait for tables but seating was available at the counter which we were happy to take. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had, and the bread basket was homemade & delicious. Will be back!

I always enjoyed eating at Tecolote at their old location. Like many I was very disappointed when it lost its lease and appeared to be shut down. I wad thrilled when it reopened on St. Michael's drive. My visit at the new location was disappointing. I haven't been back. Hopefully it will get back to its earlier quality and I'll... More

I had the Tecolote burger and it was incredible. Ask for extra green chiles for sure. Good food...a little out of the way if you are staying by the square...but worth the drive if you are looking for a great green chile cheeseburger.

Came with a group of six state employees and contractors working on a project, sat right away and served water! Given time to order, dishes then came after a while. Each fish was good. I loved my green chile stew with extra chile for seasonings/spicing! Waitress even willing to give separate checks! Business groups or family groups all treated like... More

My family and stopped here on a whim and were all blown away. My husband and I ordered a special which consisted of homemade biscuits smothered with red and green chile gravy, sausage and melty cheese. There was not a bite left. The kids had pancakes and French toast. The pancakes were fluffy and in he shape of a bunny... More

Tried Tecolote for the first time for breakfast and it was excellent. Nice looking space and great food. The pancakes are huge and extremely fluffy; they come with several flavor options. Their New Mexican items are flavorful and spicy. Will definitely be coming back again.

Very disappointed we had to wait 45 min to get in at “ The Pantry” so tried Tecolote….strange no crowd at all. Went right in…found out why….potatoes were room temperature….probably left over from yesterday. Bacon was cold not even room temperature. Eggs…..asked for over medium no runny white……guess what. Didn’t get that. Crisp on one side and cold on the... More

This is an old establishment famous for their bread/muffin baskets. Green chili was excellent. Chocolate milk is made with syrup. Pancakes are huge and thick but fluffy. Carne assada lacks something. Waite staff over the top excellent. Place is 5 times bigger with a lot of atmosphere. Locals seem to like it.

One of the best breakfasts in Santa Fe. Traditional breakfast menu--or New Mexican. All is fresh, fast with generous portions. And definitely get the pastry basket--biscuits and muffins to accompany your coffee! Great green chili (for the omelete) and friendly staff. Great for families.

Tecolote Cafe was started in 1980 by Bill and Alice Jennison with a desire to feed guests great meals, affordably, with superior service. Mr. Bill and Alice's recipes have been pleasing palettes for 31 years. In May of 2010, sadly, we lost Mr. Bill after a long and accomplished life. Since August 2010, Katherine Adkins (Bill and Alice's daughter) and her husband Matt Adkins have been doing their best to honor Mr. Bill and Ms. Alice's vision in carrying on the family business We offer a varied menu focusing primarily on New Mexican breakfast and lunch cuisine, as well as some American favorites. We bake all of our breads in house as well as our muffins and biscuits contained in our bakery basket. A little known secret to our great burgers? Fresh baked Kaiser rolls to vehicle our superb patties and ingredients. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, we are sure you will be pleased with our delectable choices and our warm, friendly atmosphere. If you aren't, just let us know so we can make your experience everything you hoped for!Katie and I can't wait to see you on your next visit. So, come on in, and remember, we serve "Great breakfast, No toast!", just for you.
