We enjoyed our valentine's dinner, it was cooked with perfection along with delicious wine. Dessert was amazing and more than just melting in your mouth, but a pleasure.

We had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Dinner for Two. We got wine, salads, filet mignon, crab stuffed trout, two deserts and coffee for $120 after tip. The ambiance is nice and quiet even when there are a lot of people there, and the service is always very friendly. This restaurant has become a go-to restaurant when we want... More

We had dinner there with friends and the food was fabulous. We had a mushroom soup with truffle oil, Caesar salad prepared tableside, and Chateaubriand that absolutely melted in your mouth. We topped off the evening with Chocolate Cups--yum!

As Santa Fe residents, we dine at D42 several times a year and have never been disappointed. This enduring family owned restaurant provides first rate food in a warm and inviting environment. Greg, the dad, bakes the bread; Pam, the mom, is the hostess and business manager as well as pastry chef; Andy, the CIA trained son, is the chef.... More

We tried this place because of the reviews. The food was average, with tiny entree portions served a la carte, no vegetable, just your little piece of fish on the plate. But the real shock was our waitress, Kate. She was running through the restaurant. I mean running, like a Kenyan at the Olympics! She spilled food on people at... More

On the way to the opera we stopped here at an early hour for dinner (They open at 4 pm). You do need reservations because the restaurant is justifiably very busy. We had small plates (they also serve full dinners) with a terrific Caesar salad prepared at our table side. Everything was simply delicious and the service was excellent. The... More

The first thing we saw when we walked into D42 was the open kitchen, which gave us feelings of confidence and trust in the food that would follow. The staff looked happy to be there, not at all stressed out about working on Christmas. This is a family-owned establishment with a romantic vibe and homey atmosphere...not stuffy or impressed with... More

A woman behind the front desk of Eldorado Hotel & Spa recommended Dinner for Two (D42). We've been to Santa Fe many times and hadn't noticed or heard of this restaurant. It's one of the nicest meals we've had. Cozy, quiet, great food and attentive service. It will be one of our regular places.

Enjoyed our Sunday meal at D42 where a 3-course prixe fix dinner starts at $19. For 2 of us, we started with French onion soup & cream of asparagus soup. These were the stand outs. The onion soup had a hearty, robust flavor and the asparagus soup was light & delicate. For entrees, we had crab cakes and veal marsala,... More
