Our first meal here was on the rooftop restaurant-crowded and lively. My wife had the green chile chicken enchiladas and I had the tacos pastor-both were excellent. The specialty margaritas were nothing special, so we went back to the house variety.

We climbed the stairs and elbowed our way through to the NE corner of the rooftop bar, where we enjoyed our bebidas and views of the street below. My virgin coco loco was tasty and John said his was rummy good too. The place is...More

After a day filled with meetings Thai was a tasty way to relax. The veg tamales with a sweet and spicy chile sauce was divine. The drinks are yummy and the staff kind and helpful. The atmosphere is part of the fun when you dine...More

We spend 6 months a year in Santa Fe each year and are real foodies. Looked around for a fine dining experience where we could celebrate my 68th birthday and our 46th wedding anniversary. Very pleased we decided on the Coyote Cafe. Great food without...More

Since it was my last night in Santa Fe I returned to an old favorite. Coyote Cafe roof top. The picture that comes with this restaurant is of the high end mid level restaurant, but this is really two restaurants in one. The roof top...More

If you love outstanding service and fantastic food, this is the place to stop in Santa Fe. Even if you're just passing through. Our waiter, Parris, offered top notch service from the moment we sat down. Even with two kids (12 and 6), he made...More

Didn't eat inside just rooftop. Hard to find the entrance for us but that was the fun part at least for us. We just stopped so I could get a third stamp for my margarita passport. Which I recommend doing. Atmosphere was fun and lively....More

This is two separate restaurants. One inside and one on the rooftop. The inside one is very expensive and for the well to do folks. For us who want to enjoy a meal and not spend a paycheck on it, head upstairs. It was an...More

Service was not great - the place was nearly empty when we arrived and it took forever to get our waitress' attention. Posole was good, guac was AMAZING with fresh jalapeño. Get the locals' favorite green chile margarita, the silver coin was only so-so.

For some reason, TripAdvisor has put the Cyyote Cafe and the Coyote Rooftop Cantina together as one restaurant, when they are very different - Trip Advisor you should split these out. For me, the Rooftop Cantina is not a good choice for a relaxing lunch....More

In early July, we will be treating a family party of 9 to our anniv dinner, and your place sounds nice! We do not want to be totally out from the restaurant, but a quiet-ish corner to tuck into would be preferable, I think! I've just started the search and am hoping to find the perfect place! GF options and egg-free options are available? We are staying near Upper Canyon Rd and would be coming in a van (for all 9 of us, I hope!) Do you have available/complimentary pkg available? Thank you! Kat

I suggest you call the restaurant directly. I just wrote a review based on my experience. My guess is yes to all of your questions - they're super nice folks - but check to be sure.
Is it smart casual or dressed up?

People tend to be more casually dressed in Santa Fe than in other cities, but "dressy" wouldn't be out of place, either.
Is there a place to bring a dog?

You definitely cannot bring a dog into Coyote Cafe. However, I am unsure whether you can bring a dog into the recently opened more casual Coyote Cantina next to the restaurant. Call them at 505-983-1615
