Every time that I visit Santa Fe, I have to eat at India Palace, one of my favorite restaurants in the world, and absolutely, the best authentic Indian food anywhere!! Service has always been impeccable and the food preparation is amazing! The lamb madras, not on the menu, but chicken madras is, is wonderful with the cook willing to make it... More

If you are hungry and want to eat right away, don't choose the India Palace. We have eaten in the IP on many occasions when visiting Santa Fe and looked forward to what has always been good indian food in the past. We had an unnecessary reservation and arrived on time to find only two tables occupied. We were perfunctorily... More

The food here was really good. 4 stars only because the biryani was not authentic. Everything else gets 5 stars. Do try their Shrimp curry. Would like to mention the great service we got. We did not have a reservation. We were 5 and were seated in under 5 minutes inspite of it being a busy evening. We enjoyed our... More

For several years now, when I visit Santa Fe, I always stop at least once for lunch at India Palace near the Plaza. The lunch buffet has a number of vegetarian and meat (mostly chicken and meatballs) options - all delicious and - for my taste - not over spiced. Fresh made Naan is also brought to one's table. I... We never felt welcome, from the moment we set foot in the door. We said we had a reservation and the young man gestured to a table in the back and told us to go sit there. We waited for someone to ask us if we wanted water or something to drink, while the one man seated 3 other tables... More

We came for a birthday dinner and could not believe the rude service. From being told to "go sit in the table in the back" to waiting 20 minutes for any service while others were waited on to being told we weren't "clear enough" when we asked for our appetizers first and so they would be served with the main... The worst dining experience is a combination of really bad food (in this case a buffet) and worse service. We got both ringing in the New Year of 2017. My husband read a couple of negative reviews and we should have listened. But no...we love Indian food. Our first clue should have been that no one greeted us at the... More

Visited Santa Fe for the Christmas weekend and was happy to see India Palace on the list of open restaurants for Christmas Day. I was leading a group of 7 foreign military officers and along with a family member we were a group of 9. I called ahead to the restaurant to see if they could accommodate a party of... More

Arrived 3 hours prior to the restaurant's closing time. Hardly many tables occupied as I saw. The person who greeted us immediately and arrogantly told us 'take out only' despite having open tables. We had no choice so we ordered food on takeaway. They did not give utensils or plates inspite of asking multiple times and arrogantly mentioned 'how many... More

Went there for Christmas Day lunch due to close proximity to the Plaza and not many others lunch options available. I would call the food to be far from being authentic Indian. Ordered vegetable pakoras and veg biryani. The pakora batter was oily, hard and very bland. The biriyani was the star though. It was like gravy mixed into the... More

India Palace located in the heart of downtown Santa Fe. Is the oldest Indian restaurant in New Mexico, serving Santa Fe since 1990. In 1997, India Palace hired a new chef by the name of Billu to be their head chef. In 1998 he left the restaurant. In the summer of 2013, Billu bought the restaurant and restored the taste and quality of the 1990's. India Palace now has the authentic taste that comes with skilled chefs from India. All spices are imported from India to give you that authentic Indian taste. Come try our food, we will be around for years to come.
