I am starting to think I should avoid all places that have a 5 Diamond Award. It seems to mean that the place was excellent at one time but now they don't have to try very hard since there is a plaque hanging on the wall. We came here for my birthday dinner on our trip to Santa Fe. We... More

While many think of Fuego for dinner, it also does a decent breakfast. This is an especially food deal for hotel (La Posada) guests, since you get a daily $40 breakfast credit to offset the daily resort fee. The breakfast menu puts a New Mexico spin on some standards, but you can get something as simple as oatmeal if you... More

Our breakfast dishes involved barbacoa beef and shredded pork along with eggs. Both meats seemed completely devoid of seasoning. With that as a beginning, we decided to dine elsewhere during our stay at La Posada

Had delightful light dinner here August 2. Weather was perfect for outdoor dining (had been too cool the previous 2 nights). But wonderful early evening temp, could wear sleeveless dress and enjoy the soft breeze and delightful background Flamenco Guitar music by well-known Santa Fe woman troubadour and her violin accompanist! Comfy cute chairs were especially appreciated as I'd recently... More

Restaurant situated within the walled La Posada Resort just east of the Plaza within walking distance from center. Simply charming. Beautiful over sized paintings that blast with color and life lines the walls throughout the lobby, to the restaurant and in the restaurant. Delightful and fun. What I liked: The garden patio setting Sense of privacy in the courtyard patio.... More

I had lunch mid-week at the patio restaurant. It was around 11:30 and was already quite busy, however, I waited only about three minutes to be seated. The service started a little rough; the server appeared new and uncertain but as the lunch progressed the service improved. I started with the Grilled Strawberry salad which was excellent; fresh and tangy,... More

Been here for cocktails, depends on the bartender whether you will like that or not. But had lunch out on the patio, and I felt like I was somewhere other than a couple blocks off the plaza. Very nice experience...quiet...mainly adult diners. Beautiful setting in the flowers and umbrella tables. Menu was perfect for lunch, the steak salad was a... More
