Fuego is in a large courtyard behind a row of charming downtown stores. It has a modest pass through entrance, but it is lush, green, relaxing and slow paced. Huge trees grow in the courtyard and the restaurant has both in and outside tables. Inside is white tablecloth with quiet, excellent service, and outside is like sitting in a tropical... More

Fuego has been replaced by Julia. A new highly acclaimed chef with a new concept in a newly refurbished space. I think the new Julia's is excellent.

As locals we are interested in the publicity around a refocus of this restaurant which we experienced as pricey but not on a par with other pricey operations, some of which we hold in high esteem. While apparent hotel guests seemed to be enjoying the patio, our long wait for service, and even longer wait for drink delivery dampened our... More

Fuego is located in La Posada De Santa Fe Resort and Spa, once the private home of a successful merchant and his wife and children. A mystery surrounds his wife's later years and many say she still haunts the property. Our waitress told us stories of sightings and a local ghost tour leader tells of many instances where Julia made... More

This was our last restaurant during our stay in Santa Fe. The service was great and so was the food. The Bison Chili is a must. The homemade dips for their homemade chips are a must. I had a burger and my wife had the fish tacos. Both were great.

Our evening started out so well! This restaurant is a beautifully appointed room in the charming La Posada. It was our "splurge" evening and we had every expectation that our experience would be as lovely as the setting. We could not have been more wrong. On the positive side, the food was mostly hot and exactly as described on the... More
