I felt a pang as I drove past the closed Bobcat Bite on Old Las Vegas Highway, headed for Santa Fe Bite at Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. Then the familiar owner seated us. A friendly server brought that familiar menu. Then our...More

Santa Fe Bite is the former Bobcat Bite, now relocated in town at the Desert Inn. Best Green Chile Bacon Cheeseburger in captivity! Also best house-made chips which come with the burger. Enormous portions and central location on the Old Santa Fe Trail.

Great food and good service! The food was clean, well prepared with good service. We love the bite! Fabulous salads and the onion rings are out of this world!

Came here to try the green chili cheeseburger. It is a big patty and it does have some cheese and some basic green chilies on it, but........was it outstanding? No. It soaked the bun in grease, the chilies were not roasted, the cheese wasn't spicy...More

After getting our fill of New Mexican spicy cuisine, we wanted to try Santa Fe Bite for a more simple meal. We had read all the great reviews about their hamburgers and gave it a shot. We are very happy we did and ended up...More

Well apparently we picked the wrong day and time. It was Sunday and they had fried chicken with veggies and mashed potatoes. The only thing hot on my plate was the chicken. The veggies looked awful old and reheated a number of times. The mashed...More

I have had at least 15 Green Chile Cheeseburgers from as many restaurants and the Santa Fe Bite is the best. The beef they use along with the green Chile is top notch. Add Thier potato "chips" that are made right there and you have...More

Sorry, I thought I was replying to a reviewer's post. Didn't know how this thing worked. I'd like to remove the question but can't.

Description
The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am Saturday and Sunday which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, Steak & Eggs and Huevos Rancheros.
