The food here is real. Thick cut bacon, and cured breakfast sausage. None of this see through bacon that most places serve. The staff are excellent, never saw anyone standing around, everyone was always busy.

We stopped for lunch and had a good meal. They do serve wine, beer, and some drinks. The menu choices were good. The portions are fairly generous so be hungry. We noticed quite a few locals eating here and just tourists in passing. Only negative...More

We stopped for lunch at the Plaza Cafe based on a friend's recommendation. The chips with 3 salsas and guacamole was the best ever. My bowl of chili with green chile and carnitas (despite the warning that it was hot) was indeed spicy but not...More

Have eaten here several times but today was not so good. Waiter got two of the orders wrong - never came back to help us. Burgers are OK but much better at many other Santa Fe restaurants.

Nothing special but just really good diner food. If you want comfort food, this is the place. Not every place is a gourmet stop but you will be happy. I love the bold furniture. Wooden chairs etc. Had the usual hamburger with sweet potato fries....More

After museum visits nearby we stopped at this very busy cafe for lunch. There was no wait and we ordered Huevos Rancheros and a sandwich. The coffee was decent, the service was good, and the sopapilla they brought out was heavenly good! My Huevos Rancheros...More

Walking in for lunch the place looked like a typical diner. My husband ordered a chicken Mole dish and I ordered a blue corn enchilada de calabazas. Both dishes were wonderful, and we ate every bite. This was the most authentic New Mexican meal we...More

I told my wife when we in Santa Fe and looking for a place for lunch that the good restaurants are on the side streets, not the Plaza. It is too high rent for basics. I was totally wrong. The Plaza Cafe has it all....More

There are a few breakfast items available all day -- I believe the Traditional Breakfast being one of them which was my favorite -- two eggs, sausages/bacon, toast and hash browns (have them made crispy) --too die for!!!

Known as Santa Fe's oldest restaurant, the Plaza Cafe serves highly acclaimed, authentic traditional dishes since 1905. Located on the historic Santa Fe Plaza, you won't find a better view or atmosphere while you enjoy an authentic New Mexican experience. The Razatos family keeps with the traditional cooking methods and flavor combinations of New Mexico and additional recipes from Greece, all the while keeping with the classic American diner experience. This is why you'll find everything from blue corn green chile carne asada enchiladas with a warm pillowy sopaipilla to chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a gyro with a Greek salad on the side. The Plaza Cafe is a favorite among locals and movie stars alike, and everything finds what they are looking for at the Plaza.
