Outstanding nice little French bistro. Small place in King William area. The mussels are outstanding. I would suggest a reservation due to its size and popularity. The evening I went the restaurant was smokey due to poor ventilation, but the menu is varied. I had the escargot which was nice and the mussels were outstanding.

Friends suggested this place with glowing reviews, but, sadly, it was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. We had reservations, but we were rudely dismissed to the bar for a 25 minute wait with no drink service of any kind, despite repeated attempts. We were finally escorted to a table, again rather rudely, only to be ignored... More

After coming back from Paris, I'd been longing for Parisian food. A Belgian bistro is probably the closest I'll get! The food here was good. I wish the French fries were a little cooked more thoroughly. The mussels could have had a little more meat to them. I appreciated our server, too, who didn't seem to mind my husband's and... More

My daughter took her father and me to dinner to celebrate her father's birthday. She chose La Frite because her father likes it as do I. But not this time. From the beginning our celebration fell flat. We were relegated to a table next to the front door--and yes, there were other tables available. What was the advantage of having... More

If you are hungry and it takes 55 minutes to get your food; you would think you will devour your food. The food was tasteless. The bread was ok. The caprese salad was ok; the mussels were decent; fish was fresh, but dry. People were not really nice, maybe the kitchen was backed up. So, to be the best Belgium... More

Pate prepared in house. Wonderful. Mussels & frites - very tasty. Generous portion. Char - very tasty. Well prepared mixed veggies & jasmine rice were perfect accompaniments. Small but nicely curated wine list covering all price points. Parking is a challenge.

I was nervous about trying out this little hole in the wall, but from the second we walked in, it was fabulous! Our party of 7 was seated immediately, thanks to reservations. This place was packed from the moment we arrived. Food was outstanding. We eat at lots of great restaurants in San Antonio when we are there for business.... More

I ordered a glass of wine with my appetizer and was poured what I would estimate to be less than three ounces. At that rate they should get not less than eight pours from a single bottle. At eleven dollars per 'glass' they're making a mighty fine profit on a pretty pedestrian white wine.

found this by chance on our way to the Blue Star Art district, and so Glad we did. Great Food. We had the Steak & Frites- nice!, Pear salad- fresh, a flavorsome onion tart, soup and chocolate mousse. Everything was fantastic. Definite return visit.

When thinking of San Antonio I imagine lots on Mexican food and BBQ. Thus I was intrigued with visiting this restaurant. I was not disappointed at all. The menu is creative and varied. The mussels were excellent, (with several different sauces to choose from). We also shared a large bowl of clam chowder that was loaded with seafood in a... More
