We go here every time we are in San Antonio and this time we went twice. My son loves the fajitas. It has a nice atmosphere. Can get loud at busy times.

Biggest disappointment was ordering two huge containers of queso and did not get any tortillas. That is Alamo's trademark, and can't believe they don't come with any order. I was picking it up for a surprise party and it was 15 minutes late in preparation....More
Went for a home delivery and was surprised by the quantity. The food was good, price was decent. Ice cream quantity could have been better. Overall worth it.
The Alamo Cafe was busy at lunch time but we were seated quickly and service was good. There isn't a lunch menu which was surprising and it took awhile to read the large menu and determine what we wanted. Many choices. The chicken quesadillas were...More

The positive: The tortillas were excellent and served freshly made and hot. It appears the thick tortillas are the draw. Our waiter delivered the tortillas to us 10 minutes prior to our entree delivery which I found unusual (perhaps this is Alamo Cafe custom) I...More
