Really enjoyed this recommendation from a friend. They have fresh tortillas being made as you walk in. They place was busy, but we were seated promptly. They brought over some fresh tortillas, complimentary, and took our order. The food was amazing, and brought out quickly.

Went out for a quick weekday dinner & was quite disappointed with my Mexican Food Plate-consisting of a bean & Cheeze chalupa, one enchilada, one tostada, rice (which was "Horrible") and beans. Best part of plate, was the chalupa. Enchilada meat sauce was "spicey" ! Enchilada sauce isn't spicey?!? Rice was hard and crispy after being under the food lamps,... More

We have been going to Alamo Cafe for 16 years. The fresh made tortillas are hot and just the right thickness. Recent change in menu bringing back old favorite, Chicken Avocado Salad. My husband often orders the Chicken Fried Steak. We have attend parties in the party room and service has been very good.

The Alamo Cafe was a great place for our business dinner after a long day of client meetings. The wait staff were welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing. The fajitas were grilled to perfection. The tortillas were fresh made. The margaritas were savory.

This place has one extremely important thing going for it! Consistency! Waiters are sometimes good, sometimes bad, but the food is always exactly the same. This is the most important thing in the restaurant business--let the customers get exactly what they expect, every time! Great food!

My husband had the rellenos they were crispy and gooey and delicious. On the suggestion from other people on TA I got the chicken fried steak. I thought it was just okay. I wished I had gotten the quesadillas. The chips and salsa were very tasty. Not at the top of my list for Mexican food.. except for the rellenos.

Despite the amazingly wonderful house-made tortillas, our dinner this time was a disappointment. The black beans were so highly salted I couldn't eat them. My companion also reported his tortilla soup was over salted. The brisket quesadillas and shrimp enchiladas were fine, but sometimes little things can spoil an experience.

This was my first time here, my boyfriend on the other hand was born & raised in SA. He ordered the CFS & I the 2 enchiladas & Mexican rice. CFS was small, the enchiladas were small as well, the rice is parboiled & being from Louisiana where rice is a staple, it sucked. Service was great, Mike was our... More
