Zinc is about half a block from the Contessa hotel and while it is not much to look at from the street, it is a fresh, ample, light dining area with high ceilings, plenty of space between tables and friendly, efficient and effective service. There...More

We decided to stop here during our stop over in San Antonio due to the reviews on here and my personal taste in restaurants. However, it is not worth this high of a rank on Tripadvisor! My boyfriend and I are both fairly young (21)...More

I had this dish a year ago and was hell-bound to find it again. Zinc's lamb burger will not disappoint! If you're a wine drinker, pair it with the Albariño. Fantastic!!!

A friend recommended Zinc, and we were thrilled! We had a happy hour late lunch/early dinner. Our guacamole app was hand made table side, and was delicious! Those in our party ordered Pasta Portofino, Devil's River Lamb Burger, and Zinc Burger. The food was outstanding,...More

After staying on the River walk and promptly becoming disenchanted with the tourist-trap food joints, I finally looked on TA and found this little gem of a restaurant. My husband and I both had a Zinc burger, and it was to DIE for. We went...More

We went to Zinc with high expectations. In the end the food was excellent and the service was awful. Our waiter was mostly MIA. As we were leaving I realized why. There was an attractive young woman sitting at the bar and our waiter was...More

Charming little bistro away from the chaos of the Riverwalk but still central. Angela was our server and she was a rock star. We had the guacamole made tableside - excellent and pizza: good. Pasta with lamb:very tasty. Great wine list. Overall great experience. Fairly...More

We dropped in for an early supper after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. I ordered the duck leg confit as an appetizer - enough for a main meal. They were delicious. I then had the lamb burger which was...More

Ate here for lunch. Was a tad expensive for lunch and I was happy with my meal but I did have to go to the bar to get my own lemon slice for my drink.

Dropped in for drinks only. While they appear to have a good selection of wine and spirits, the beer selection is only bottles, limited and pricey. The place has a nice look and feel to it by using the history of the location to its...More

As I recall, happy hour is from 3 to 7 p.m. on weekdays, 1/2 price house specialty cocktails and most shared plates; house red and white is good and around $5 each. I don't recall about beers. I would call and ask for... More

Our chefs have painstakingly created a menu of wine-friendly fare consisting of old world hors d'oeuvres and regionally inspired tapas. From baked Texas goat cheese with kalamata olives to fresh chocolate covered strawberries, the menu caters to the diversity of the food enthusiasts.
Charles Court, at the rear of Zinc, is a truly serene gathering place for a rare outdoor experience. The private, spacious courtyard makes for a quiet sanctuary from the clatter of downtown city streets and the Riverwalk.
