This was not the best place for Mexican. The chips came out cold and oily. Salsa tasted pretty good. Service was on the slowside. Waited a while for our second drinks to come out. I ordered the carne guisada which is the beef in gravy with rice. The beef was on the dry side even though it was in gravy.... More

This restaurant has tasty Tex-Mex food and nice margaritas. This is a relaxing spot for appetizers and drinks while enjoying the river view. The tour boats pass regularly, so nice to people watch. Our waiter was wonderful, and a terrific guide to the menu and Happy Hour. Have fun!!!

Most locals come here more because this long-running establishment is a tradition. Honestly though, the food is less than mediocre and quite frankly, just a poor representation of Tex-Mex fair in San Antonio. Come here for the environment and the really good service but do not bank on getting good food.

Nice location and elevated patio on the river walk. Great place to have a drink inside our out. Staff friendly and always hussling about to deliver great service. Food is average, garden variety Tex Mex. Disappointing that the Chile relleno is made from a bell pepper and not a poblano pepper. I would visit for social event and snacks, but... More

We have been going to the Mexican Manhattan for years and it is always good. We have never had a bad experience. We sit outside overlooking the river walk and enjoy the tourist going by on the river boats and the duck family that has made their home on the river bank. The owners are good people and the wait... I stayed in a hotel very close to this restaurant and we saw the mixed reviews it had and decided to try it. I have to say that it is the worse Mexican food I have ever had. I tried different dishes and they were all bad. The nachos were burned and covered in oil. I tried the sampler for... More

Stopped in on a friends recommendation. The outside look might scare you, but go in and ask for outdoor seating. Upper level on the riverwalk. Had the quest which was outstanding as an appetizer, and 3 great meals. Highly recommend.

Authentic Mexican cuisine. Fantastic experience sipping margaritas on the Riverwalk. The service was top notch! Must try this restaurant when visiting the Riverwalk!
