We made it a point to go to The Guenther House to eat breakfast when in San Antonio recently. We ate breakfast there several years ago and loved it then. I am happy to report that it is still my favorite breakfast in the city. Everything was great. I love the Pioneer Mill and its history and the ambiance in... More

Because of my friend's recommendation, we took uber to have breakfast here. We all ordered their breakfast items. The food quality was good, but not memorable. I would only come back to this place if I would like to be served well again.

I had one of my personal favorites, quiche, along with fruit, and I ordered the cinnamon roll. I took the cinnamon roll home and ate it overt the next three days! My husband and sister ordered eggs and biscuits, and both were very satisfied with their meals. The only thing I found to be strange was the lack of handicap... More

Giant biscuits, eggs cooked perfectly, crisp bacon! Beautiful surrounds, great service. Definitely on the "Be Back" list.

It had been about 10 years since we were last in San Antonio and wanted to have brunch at The Guenther House again. We have eaten there about 5 times before and always found it to be good. We passed up a free breakfast at our hotel to be able to have brunch at The Guenther House. My wife and... More

The waffle was divine. The biscuits and gravy rival any others I've had. Their house coffee was such a nice different flavor, I recommend getting it. Even though it was quite chilly outside they had the heaters and brought down the coverings and had blankets on each chair to keep warm. I would absolutely go back!

My partner and I visited The Guenther House for breakfast one Sunday morning last month and it was just fantastic. The staff, the atmosphere, where they are located and most of all...the food was delicious. Lots of carbs though but well worth it. I can't wait to visit again and bring friends and family.

The 1851 breakfast platter was an excellent choice. The cinnamon roll was a mountain. A great patio by the river in a historic location, combined with great service. Would imagine it gets very crowded on the weekends. A definite morning winner.

I don't know where to start it was all so great and that may be good enough of as rating this deserves 10 stars. The staff excellent, food words can't describe just know that you will savor every bite. The store inside the museum section has some excellent items to buy from food, to household items that takes you back... More

Tried the waffles and the pancakes with sides of eggs and they were both great but as recommended by our waiter the waffles are the best! Cute place too!!!
