Lovely setting, on the river but slightly off the general tourist track. The service was a little slow at first - then we realized they were short-handed (I guess someone didn't show) and our waitress did everything she could to make it up. The menu is not extensive but the food is fresh and quite delicious. Cuban Latino The place... More

We were just in San Antonio for a few days, and not being from the area didn't realize it was school vacation week and spring break. The Riverwalk was, let's just say, overwhelming. We lasted about 10 minutes before looking at each other with wide eyes, saying we have got to get out of here. We escaped up one of... More

I have tried to like this place but the service is just so bad. This also may be why I never see the same waiters. The food is great and the decor could not be prettier but I've had bad service the past THREE times I've been here. It's not enough to look good, you have to provide quality service.... More

This restaurant is along the part of the River Walk that is not laced with businesses and crowds. You sit on the second floor, in the trees, overlooking the water. It has such a great feel to it. We had margaritas, the red snapper with coconut rice special, tostones, and guac and chips. Only odd part is first come first... More

Ocho is a small restaurant with a small menu, but it provides a big experience. every time I go to SA, Ocho is on my list - be it breakfast or small bites and cocktails. The house made potato chips with a mezcal 'Rita are hard to beat. While many of the Riverwalk eateries seem touristy, Ocho feels authentic.

Good Tex-Mex-Cuba menu. The staff knows what they are doing. The only glitch for me was that I couldn't eat breakfast there, because they did not have sugar free syrup which I need for my morning pancakes. We ate down the road from the hotel on the way back home

Ocho is located a few blocks North of The Alamo. We walked up there from The Menger Hotel for breakfast. The dining area overlooks part of the Riverwalk and the windows which are glass garage doors can be opened for fresh air. They had a nice selection of Cuban inspired egg dishes and the food and service was good.

Ocho is such a cute restaurant. I totally loved the decor. Husband and I had brunch here on a Sunday and they were really busy. The servers are great and you can expect great service. The food is good too. I had the Breakfast Torta and husband had the Avocado Bacon Queso omelette and both were good. The chorizo in... More

Description
Inspired by the union of old and new worlds, Ocho at Hotel Havana offers two unique spaces for dining and drinks on the Museum Reach of the River Walk in San Antonio. The upstairs Ocho dining room, situated in a glass and steel conservatory reminiscent of a birdcage, opens onto the river and offers seating both indoors and outdoors. The downstairs lounge provides a dimly candlelit gathering place with velvet couches and antique leather club chairs suited for intimate meetings and secret rendezvous. Ocho at Hotel Havana presents a food, cocktail and wine menu that is rooted in the hotel's pan-Latin cultural influences. Ocho offers inventive menus for breakfast (voted among the Best in Texas by Texas Monthly Magazine), lunch, dinner and late night to be served in-room, on the patio or in the upstairs lounge.
