In a city with a lot of mediocre Asian restaurants, Chars stands out as a superior Thai restaurant--good curry with medium spice being exactly right (for me and my wife at least). Large menu and food appears freshly made and well seasoned, with lots to choose from.

We ordered soup and it was good. The pad thai was heavy on the bean sprouts but tasty. The chicken satay was good also. I ordered the green curry which was very good. Nice Thai atmosphere and great service.

A good dining experience. The food was good and the service friendly and helpful. The menu is exhaustive and it was difficult to decide what we wanted. Suffice it to say we were not disappointed!

The lunch menu is a particularly good deal. You eat well for less than $10. The staff is extremely kind. The decor is very simple, not romantic nor very Thai so lunch is better than dinner.

We were in Tuscon for a conference and found this restaurant on TripAdvisor. It was a fantastic experience. The shop was decorated in Thai way. The owner was from Thailand. The food there was authentic Thai flavor (although with some adjustment in flavor: not too hot&spicy and sweeter than the real one). This was the best Thai food I have... More

Looking for place to treat my Thai language students, not a bad place at all. Service was great. The food was great. I love the hot pot for soup rather than giving you a small individual bowl. The owner insisted that we order "medium hot" and I am glad she suggested it. A condiment tray was given to a few... More

I have been here many, many times and the food is always good, the service attentive and the prices reasonable. The decor - check out the funky mural - is eclectic and they have just refurbished the booths. My favorite dish is the penang curry (#31) but my wife likes to choose different things whenever we go. It's all good.

I went to this restaurant because it was rated highly on Trip Advisor. I was quite disappointed as the food was not authentic Thai as I was expecting. Can't really blame them as it's probably more difficult to get all the ingredients in Tucson. The Beef Salad (Neur Num Tok) was close but the Fish with Chilli was just too... More

We have been coming to this best Thai restaurant for years. The staff remember us and remember that we have a Thai daughter-in-law. They always ask about our family and they also remember our favorite dish: Kang Karee with shrimp (menu shows chicken or beef but you can get it with shrimp if you ask. The rice is just as... More

Visited with family. My sister in law spoke Thai to the wait staff who also spoke English. The food was excellent. My sister in law said that it reminded her of authentic Thai food from her area in Thailand.
