Chorizo is always hit or miss with restaurants. Some prepare it very well, while others leave it greasy and undercooked. The chorizo and eggs at Cinco de Mayo are consistently excellent! And the service is always the best. My wife loves the shrimp enchiladas and she's really particular. If you haven't tried this place, you really need to.

a long wait (over 20 minutes) for poor service was bad enuf...then the food which was rather cold (think:pinto beans) a skimpy portion of 'meat'?, add stale chips served with a very watery 'salsa?' makes me want to try any other south of the border joint my advice: pass on this place

The lunch plates are large and nicely prepared. Very authentic flavors. I liked the blender tomato sauce salsa, very unique flavors, both mild and spicy (not too spicy). They have two kinds of rice they serve depending on the dish you order, Seafood gets the white rice with peas which is very good. Other plates get the traditional red Spanish... More

The unkempt landscaping around the restaurant should have been a warning, but it was handy next the Illuminations store where we were shopping. It was a mistake. There were few people there and that should have been a sign too. But, we stayed and ordered the combo beef and chicken fajitas. After a long wait they came charred and hard... More

We visited on the night the UA basketball team was playing in the Sweet 16, so there were very few people. The numerous sports bars we passed on the way were packed, which was good for us as we practically had the place and the staff to ourselves. The waitress had a little mix-up on our drinks, but was very... More

Well-prepared Mexican food in ample amounts with very accommodating service. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with lots of plants, skylights, windows and an indoor fountain.

I was impressed by the Mexican theme throughout the restaurant, but when it came to the food was somewhat disappointed. I only had one dish which was the special of the evening. Three enchiladas, chicken, cheese, and beef with sides of rice and a small salad. Chicken was thickly cut and pretty dry. Verde sauce was OK. Rice and beans... More
