Visiting Tucson, we heard about El Charro; stopped in afternoon - nice to be there when the crowds were less hectic - actually a perfect time to go between 2 and 4 PM; started with Grand Marnier Magaritas - excellent; entrees were excellent; we enjoyed...More

We were there for lunch. I had Chipotle Quesadilla with Pollo Arizona and my girlfriend had Two for Tucson (one corn tamal & a Sonoran flat enchilada). They were both really really good.

The line to get in is a little misleading. It’s not that great. It is good however. I strongly suggest reservations but they must be made a day in advance. The food is good but the multiple dining rooms are a bit crowded and noisy....More

My wife and I got a reservation (good idea--lots of folks waiting outside) and had a wonderful evening. We were early enough to look at the happy hour menu ("fiesta hour" they call it) and tried the $7 cheese crisp which was huge and very...More

Good choice of locally adapted and original Mexican food. Dried and pulled meat is house specialty. Comes in a giant loempia (spring roll) with salsa sauce. Restaurant is equally worthwhile thanks to its friendly and service oriented atmosphere.

Great and only place to have chicken mole. Great ensalada ceviche, with a beer by Barrio only for them. Service outstanding by Caleb, ambience outstanding.

This is the best Mexican food!! The portions are huge and the flavour is so good! My steak was a bit tough and chewy, but otherwise everything was great. Our server did an amazing job and was always a step ahead.

The food here is outstanding. The seafood #4 combo is absolutely delicious. Amazing salsa and tamales. Slow service but excellent, excellent food.

It is usually very busy, because it is so good! Everything they serve is good! Service I great and it has the atmosphere you enjoy at a Mexican food restaurant! They made my cheese crisp in the shape of a heart! Fantastic!

Was there for a late lunch. Did not see any mention of Happy Hour. You might want to give them a call.
