Although i live the opposite site of this restaurant, i have gone many times there before it closed. He now has a bus parked on Pennignton. We have 3 Peruvian restaurants in Tucson, but Don Pedro's has without a doubt, the best anticuchos in town.

Never had Peruvian food and I like it! The seafood at this restaurant is very fresh and the condiments are very different from Mexican food. Lots of lime and giant corn kernels. Nice pickled vegetables, all great with a beer.Very congenial servers.

Good new & bad news: They were originally located in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point), Mexico & relocated to Tucson 3 yrs ago. Located in a humble strip mall, they're not visible from the street. Peruvian food is a blend of Spanish cuisine w/traces of Chinese cooking - they use a wok rather than pans! There house soup is tasty, a... More

in a couple, we shared an appetizer and had one entree each. At first, it took 10-15 minutes to prepare a cocktail, while my beer was waiting on the table. The entrees came to the table literally t minutes after the appetizer had arrived, and we were in the middle of it. so we had two cold entrees. The restaurant... More

I love pho and sinigang, but this is the first time I've had Peruvian soup. It's fresh and light and tasty! I don't like cilantro, but the cilantro chicken soup with peas and corn is by far the best if the 3 I had. We also had a chicken and veggie and just veggie. The broccoli was crunchy! So was... More

This is one of the best restaurants in the south part of the Tucson. I had lunch with few friends who go there all the time, so I wanted to try it too. The food is really tasty and affordable. The dining area is not very fancy but it's in a very good condition. I will definitely go back and... More

Don Pedro’s is an unpretentious little restaurant off I-10 in South Tucson that offers a variety of Peruvian dishes. All of us had spent time in Peru and recognized most of the items on the menu. Since it was lunchtime, and no one was particularly hungry, we contented ourselves with the sopa de camarones (shrimp soup) and papas rellena (stuffed... More

Try this for something different. We had the Fish Cebiche and the Sudado de Pescado, which was flounder in a spicy red sauce. Both were quite tasty. Also a side order of sweet plantains, and flan for dessert. We got a bit lost trying to find the place. It is in the Southgate shopping center which is on the right... More

We were in for a South American treat, who knew? Antecuchos were marinated thinly sliced beef hearts served on sticks with a spicy yummy sauce. Dinner I ordered was a full plate of short grain deliciously flavored rice with broccoli, cabbage, carrots and more. One of us ordered this with shrimp. Menu includes more meat choices. Beverage most of us... More
