I hadn't been to Paragon in quite awhile and to my surprise, it kicked it up a notch. The new interior resembles a 1930s NYC nightclub and it's a classy look. The menu is fairly extensive and there were numerous options that looked delicious. I...More

Service was poor. We ordered a drinks, me their chocolate cake, and I actually got a slice of chocolate cake with my date's Margarita. Date chided me to leave more in tip. Broccoli was frozen in vegetable side. After midnight I woke up as my...More

I ordered a glass of milk and almost gagged after taking a gulp. It had the strangest smell and taste. Not even sour. My filet mignon steak was served in overlooked slices with wilted (old not cooked) arugula. Truly horrible. The best news was I...More

I had a casual business lunch at Paragon. It was the perfect place for it. I would recommend it for a cozy lunch, business meeting or just because. Not sure how it is for evening.

if an older man walks up to your table and tells you a lousy old joke it is most likely the great owner of Paragon and a number of other restaurants in the area. His wife tries to stop him but he will never quit.But...More

We've been here many times. Lunch today included Veggie Antipasto plate and Bruschetta. These were much larger than we expected. Antipasto was fine although the veggies could have been in smaller pieces. The Bruschetta was average because of the bread. Very thick pieces, totally soggy....More

My daughter and I ate here after a tour of Brown. She had the margarita pizza and I had a California wrap with baked sweet potato. The food was wonderful. The service was good, but the waitress sometimes disappeared for long periods. Our bill was...More

Was visiting the area, when we decided to stop in for lunch. Brunch assortment pretty good. Quality of the food, not bad. Flow of the setup, awful. Service, not terrible, but not terrific either.

Café Paragon in Providence was first to open it’s doors in 1994. We started serving our valued guests in a friendly European Bistro/Café style atmosphere with a comfortable 32 seats, full bar, and a limited menu. In 1997 we expanded to create Viva offering a more sophisticated dining experience including Mediterranean Mezes, specialized martinis, and extended bar selections in our comfortable lounge. On weekend nights the restaurant transforms with club music. Over the years we have won several awards in RI Monthly and the Providence Pheonix, among them for Best Burgers, Best Salad and Best Octopus and in addition we have been written up in several publications such as Yankee Magazine Travel, Providence Journal, and Vanity Fair.
