We have been visiting Estes Park for 20 years. Without a doubt this is the best restaurant in town. Not cheap, but the quality of the food is superb. This is not a place to take young children. Staff is very attentive but not too...More

We spent a few days in Estes Park checking out RMNP and wanted to get a decent meal, and this was the only place we could find. Good atmosphere, decent service, mediocre food. For the price this place was 3 stars, had it been more...More

Enjoyed a Sunday night steak dinner here. Steaks were good but not great. Service was very good. Danny took excellent care of us. Steaks ran $30 and up. Included potato and vegetables. Salad extra but not expensive. Wine was $10 and up per glass. Good...More

I enjoyed the Twin Owls 4x4. The atmosphere was nice and we were seated at a very nice table at the window (we did make a reservation). My wife was disappointed with the Ribeye as it was very fatty and for $32 we expected better....More

We were so pleased with this restaurant that we ate here twice during our vacation (which is VERY rare for us). The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, the service was exceptional, and the menu was fantastic. On the first visit, we ordered prime rib,...More

I fall in love with this restaurant, at first sight, surrounded by pine trees in a log cabin with the perfect decoration for a mountain wedding, with long curtains on the windows that view that wondrous forest! Fast service, professional waitress, the manager and the...More

We ordered the chef special of Wild boar and a buffalo steak for the main course. The boar was over done, tastless and had the texture of cardboard. the steak and drinks were good, as were the cocktails. The elk appetizer was also good.

Great steaks and prime rib. Service was perfect. We were upstairs with a view of the restaurant. very quiet and intimate. The carrot cake was enough for dessert and breakfast.

I assure you that I wrote an authentic review of my experience at your restaurant. I am sorry for the typo in the review. I did not catch the word "are" before I hit submit. However, as I said in my review, the hostess the night we were there (as soon as you opened that day so that we would miss the dinner rush hour) WAS rude to us. As I said, this was a few years ago. At the time, there was a business on Moraine Ave called "The Bistro" that was in an old gas station or perhaps it used to be a convenience store. It was before you reach Mary's Lake Road, on the right hand side as you head toward the National Park. At any rate, we didn't wish to have that kind of atmosphere for our anniversary dinner. You may perhaps ask around about The Bistro so that you know that there WAS a restaurant in that kind of building. I think they later moved to St. Vrain, and now they appear to be out of business. So, I have no idea why you would say that it isn't an authentic review. Perhaps your hostess was having a bad night, I don't know. I can only review what happened to me.
