Never have we had a disappointing meal here! The menu is creative and satisfying. We have friends that live in Estes Park and we often come up to visit and end up at the Rock Inn. We've even celebrated NYE here before. It's a rustic log mountain inn restaruarnt with woodstove and fireplace, it's more of a local gathering place... More

First time here really good food. Log cabin with a fire roaring. It was really nice. You can get from sandwiches to steak. I had the steak which was cooked perfect and good portion. My husband had shrimp and enjoyed it.

Stopped at the Rock Inn for dinner and were surprised to have such a good dinner in such a quaint location. Reminds a person of a mountain lodge with wooden beams, rustic decor and a nice, toasty stove keeping you warm. Dinner specials were very good.

We went with friends on a Monday evening. It has tavern ambiance with great food. The bacon wrapped dates with aioli was a delicious appetizer even if you're not a date person. The salads were very crisp and tasty with homemade dressings. The skirt steak and penne with shrimp were excellent. We would certainly go back.

Rock Inn provides a nice selection of entrees for almost any palate. We ended up getting their specials of the evening and everything they serves was tasty. The wait staff were very friendly and welcoming and the ambiance was Colorado casual. If you're looking for something a little more "adult," I would recommend a trip to Rock Inn. Although they... Rock Inn is maybe the best value/quality for dinner in Estes Park. We enjoyed it so much that we went back twice in the span of a five night stay. The steak skewer appetizer special is absolutely incredible, the chicken marsala is very good, and the French dip is perfect. The live music was amazing or maybe we don't get... More

Estes Park doesn't (from what I can tell after a few visits) have much in the way of night life and nice restaurants. We managed to find both at the Rock Inn Mountain Tavern. Although the ambiance is rustic, the food was very good, service was very good, and we were thrilled to find a place with music where we... More

My husband and I went here on the last night of our anniversary vacation. We had a blast! Live music, plenty of local beers, great food and nice employees.

We had a large party, six adults and a 17 month old. We were seated quickly and our server made sure we knew about the specials. The wife and I had the trout dinner which was excellent. The daughter had a salad with steak which she loved. The guys had buffalo burgers which they thought were unique. The future daughter... More

We dined here on the recommendation of the property owner of the home we rented in Estes. She was spot on. The place is cozy and definitely local. Service was incredibly friendly and the food was outstanding. Wide variety of local drinks. We had the filet, NY Strip, Chicken Marsala, and Flat Iron Steak. All outstanding. It was hard to... More

Open 7 days a week at 4pm Sunday Mornings we are serving Brunch from 10am to 2pm Built in 1937as a dance hall for the Big Band Era, The Rock continues to be a lively gathering place with local flair. In the winter, our two wood-burning stoves keep the room toasty for folks stopping in for a beer or a bite after playing in Rocky Mountain National Park. During the summer season we enjoy stunning continental divide views from our outdoor dining patio. Our menu is an ever evolving blend of hand-crafted, hearty comfort food with a health and planet conscious twist. We aim to fill you up with goodness so you can get back to enjoying the mountains again tomorrow. We feature Certified Angus Beef, All-Natural Colorado chicken, fresh salads, whole grains, organic teas and coffees, local beers, sustainably produced wines, and a full bar. On Many Fridays after dinner, we set-up one of many original Colorado bands on our 76 year old stage, clear the dance floor and boogie all night. Some of the bands playing these days include Chain Station, James and the Devil, Old Town Pickers, The Sweet Lillies, Stringboard Theory, Cadillac Grip Funk, KC Groves, and many more. During the summer time, acoustic music acts play most other nights of the week, sunday nights are a mellower feeling as we host acoustic Colorado songwriters during dinner. You might catch Jon Pickett, Alex Thoele, Sarah Caton, Jay Roemer, Billy Shaddox, Jay Stott, or Terry Kishiyama and Ash Ganley. We also offer a great open bluegrass pick on Thursday nights lead by a few talented local musicians, either joining in on the pick or just sitting back and enjoying the bluegrass, tuesdays are a funny night of music. We look forward to having you join us. Reservations are not accepted, however if you want to give us a call, when you are on your way we will be happy to get a table ready for you or put you on the list. During the off-season there is rarely a wait. In July, August, and September it is best to get here before 6.
