Trailhead Restaurant is situated overlooking majestic Deer Mountain and across Trail Ridge Road from MacGregor Mountain. It is part of a complex of great facilities that also includes the Fall River Visitor Center and a fine gift store called Gateway Center and is situated just before the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. There is a wonderful outdoor seating area... More

Worst meal we have had in years. We were in town for a wedding last night and wanted to try something new for brunch. Ordered a bowl of chili and their house specialty corn cakes, coffee and tea. The coffee and tea arrived. Coffee must have been sitting for hours very bitter and strong. Replaced with hot chocolate which was... More

We stopped at the Trailhead restaurant for a late lunch after a busy day chasing our kids around the park. Everyone was hungry and looking forward to sitting down. After quite a wait for the staffs to arrange a table outside, we were finally seated. We ordered drinks and cocktails and waited an extended amount of time for our server... More

High quality food, very clean, friendly service, and wow what a view. Conveniently located right outside the Fall River entrance to RMNP and shares a bldg with a huge souvenir shop. Not a real busy place so it can be good if you want to talk.

I have been visiting the States during September, 2016. The service and staff was really bad, so I left this facility without tasting their offer.

The Trailhead Restaurant is a few hundred yards from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and is a great way to fuel your body for a day in the park. We ate breakfast here two of the three days we spent in Estes Park. The food is fantastic and service warm and friendly. After your meal, spend some time... More

The food was very good and reasonably priced. Sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery.

We had lunch here after driving some of the roads of the park. I felt a bit guilty about it, but I ordered the elk burger. It was a bit tough, as game meat often is, but tasted o.k. My husband's chili burger was tastier. The onion rings and fries were very good. The best thing, though, is the view.... More

We sat outside on the rear of the restaurant, listening to the stream and enjoying the view of the tree filled mountainside. We were the only visitors at the time, which made it even more peaceful. We had sandwiches, which were filling and tasty. Great place to stop when you are leaving the park and need to fuel up!

After flipping the coin and choosing to not ascend Trail Ridge Road, we turned around at the RMNP gate and hit the Trailhead Restaurant for lunch. The golden aspens provided a good view from our outdoor table. My wife like her Ham & Brie Panini. I thought they could have been more generous with the tomato slices on my Southwest... More
