Ming Dynasty is a "must" every time I visit northern New Mexico, i.e., flying into Albuquerque. My daughter drives down from Santa Fe to join me, or dines here with friends when I'm not in town. The Dim Sum is ordered from a menu, not the push-cart style you might find elsewhere. There's a ton of variety this way, although... More

As someone who has lived in many large east and west coast cities, I have missed the communities where you can walk and take in the sights and smells of Chinese restaurants. Ming Dynasty offers a Dim Sum oasis here in the high desert of New Mexico.

Our group of four went on a Saturday night. There were only three other tables occupied. I thought we were all going to order dim sum but the other three in the group decided to buy dishes, so I was on my own. When the dim sum came it was decent, but the other dishes the group ordered we're all... More

We went for Dim Sum- very popular with large Asian families-lots of big tables- we were adventurous in our choices- perhaps too much so. The crispy fried items are great- also the bbq buns with savory and honey- loved the crab claw- not so much the chicken feet- fun experience but we really did not know what to choose or... More

It is not a fancy place but nice atmosphere and excellent service. It is the only Chinese restaurant in NM that serves authentic dim sums on Saturdays and Sundays in authentic style, bringing carts full of dishes to your tables. Of course regular dishes are served on weekends and dim sums can be ordered from pictured menu on other days... More

last Saturday at 4:30 pm some friends & I went to Ming Dynasty for dim sum. I had gone there for Chinese food several times over the 20 years and had always been disappointed (still waiting for a good Chinese restaurant in ABQ). But the dim sum from a special menus was fantastic! As good as LA Chinatown. They said... More

Ming Dynasty will not be for everyone. People who like Americanized Chinese, ie, egg rolls, fried rice, orange chicken, etc, should pick another spot. But, for people who know what ha gao, cha siu, and siu mai buns are without having to Google it, this will be for you. Unlike some other reviewers who think that this place should cater... More

As others have said, this is a place which is crowded on the weekends. The patrons are often Chinese families which implies that this is good or at least authentic food. I don't disagree but it was close to a bust for us. My wife is a vegan. We rely on Asian restaurants to always have vegan or at least... More

Service was good, place was neat and clean Pastry on all dumplings was tough and flavorless. Had visited this restaurant in the past and it had been quite good. Would not re-visit it.
