This is a great little spot with a very friendly and inviting atmosphere - feels like being welcomed into a family home. The guacamole salad was delicious. Think of a crisper, creamier, lighter version of guacamole. The green salsa is really nice as well. I detected green chilies here (It is New Mexico after all) and that was a really... More

The best manudo, people frequent this restaurant just for this. It comes quickly and piping hot. I have returned time and time again for over 15 years.

We saw this place, which was near our hotel, on Trip Advisor and taking Don B's advice, did not let ourselves be put off by the plain exterior! Exceptionally friendly host, very rapid service, and three different tasty meals. An interesting menu, too, beyond the usual combination plates offered by most Mexican restaurants in the U.S.

We were actually searching for a different restaurant, one featured in the local paper that week. Traffic around that location proved to be a zoo, and we were picking up people from the airport. My wife found El Sabor on a quick Google search, and we gave it a try. Good luck there. The proprietors were welcoming, and the food... More

I read the reviews and ventured over while passing through town. I was a little surprised when first pulling up, but the restaurant was very welcoming, the food was fast and delicious and would highly recommend it! I will go back again if I ever come through town again.

A very plain exterior that belies the standard of food and service inside. Ate there for lunch during a recent work trip to ALBQ and the entire group (5 diners) raved about the food. Servings were large, food was delivered promptly and was hot and tasty and the service was welcoming. I recommend making the effort to get in and... More

We enjoyed this restaurant tremendously. Don't be fooled by the humble exterior - inside we found excellent Mexican food and a reasonably-priced menu. The service was good. The only reason I give this four stars instead of five is because you must pay for refills on all drinks...but I suppose the reasonable prices offset this. The horchata was some of... More

I was looking around for something that wasn't part of a restaurant chain and that was within reasonable walking distance of the airport hotel where I was. The restaurant is right across from the Kirtland Air Force Base entrance. The owner's family is from Juarez, hence the name "The Flavor/Taste of Juarez". It was half an hour until closing, so... The burritos and flautas were very good. My carne asada burrito meat had a nice grill char and good seasoning. The rice was done right and was a good accompaniment to the other dishes. Usually such a small place would not be noted for excellent service but we were very impressed with the very busy staff. The food arrived in... More
