On a recent trip to Albuquerque, a friend and I sampled dinner at El Patio. It was near our hotel, and looked like a cute neighborhood restaurant . Very little pizzaz in terms of ambiance. But, wow, what a meal. Delicious authentic Mexican food, a much needed Margarita after a day of travel from the East, and very reasonably priced.

The food was ok, but I've liked the mexican food better at a number of other places. The patio dinning was fun, but only because the weather was perfect. Summer and winter probably not so much.

Best sopapillas anywhere. Fish tacos on Friday are my fav. Also has great breakfast. Don't be afraid to ask them to mix it up. They will put the vegitarian beans and spinach in the tacos or sopapillas!

I have been enjoying El Patio since the late 80's, when I was going to UNM. The food is true New Mexican, with tasty green and red chile. My husband loves the green chile stew and I like the stuffed sopaipillas. The inside atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date. The outdoor patio is wonderful in the warm months,... More

For locals only! One of the best authentic New Mexican food! Superb! We sat on the patio even though it was 56 degrees. Just charming. Levi our waitstaff was very attentive and helpful! Just amazing everything. In the university section of town. A guitarist was playing inside and was playing a nice guitar! What more could you ask for?

I was HUNGRY when I got here and there was quite a crowd, so I was amazed (!!) when the food came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Great stuff - tasty and filling!

Quaint little restaurant with an amazing staff! The margaritas were excellent. I had the Chili Rellenos and they were some of the best I have ever had. The waiter recommended I have them with the sauce on the side so they would be crunchy....they melted in my mouth. He even brought out both the red and green sauces so I... More

Food was pretty good but there was only one server and the place got slammed. The server was liter running and slamming doors. Atmosphere was not relaxing because of that.
