When asked about Mexican restaurants in the Albuquerque area, many people will automatically direct you to El Pinto. It seems to be much better known. However, as new residents in the area, we prefer either El Bruno's or Casa de Benavidez, both of which are...More

Ordered a chef salad - figured it would be a safe bet. Not so. The cheese on this salad were slices of processed American and Swiss (i.e., white) cheese. Basically pieces of plastic on a plate. The grilled chicken was very good on the salad...More

Restaurant was very disorganized. Hostess could not find our reservation because she did not know what month it was. Waiter was not told we were there so we sat for quite some time before being acknowledged. He was fine once he knew we were there....More

El Bruno's has the best food and second best atmosphere in the North Valley. Their food is just as good as that served in the original location in Cuba, NM. The restaurant is located in an old North Valley home that was converted decades ago...More

If you're in the neighborhood, definitely worth the stop. The courtyard is really nice. Staff so friendly and efficient. There were seven of us, served quickly. Excellent margaritas and the green sauce very good!

I brought my family here after visiting with friends from work. This place is a must go for Mexican dining. Delicious!

We don't normally eat New Mexican food as so many are tongue-burning! But El Bruno's has been very good and not too hot. Both of our dinners were very good but I love the warm tortilla chips with their salsa. Too many times I eat...More

The place looks very simple from the outside but has a superb and cozy ambience inside. Their red and geeen chilli is awesomely fresh with just the right kick. My stuffed sopapilla was filled generously and done just right. The dessert sopapillas done just right....More

Stopped in for a late dinner with a business colleague. Ordered Carne Asada and my partner ordered a combo plate. My Carne Asada was above average, well-prepared skirt steak with warm flour tortillas. My colleague gave his meal a thumbs up as well.
