This must be the 6-7 th place I tried on my endless search for some good Chinese Food. I have finally found the place I can go back to in the future. The food was fresh and super delicious. Had the wonton soup, hot & sour soup, pork buns, Chinese eggplant and Szechuan Shrimp. What a treat! Already planning my... More

Yes, we enjoyed our meal here, but to us it doesn't warrant the "Gourmet" in the name, nor the "outstanding" reviews we've read here. The red bean paste buns were large & yummy, but pretty much like the dim sum we've had elsewhere. My husband's Mongolian beef was also good (very spicy), but he didn't find it exceptional (& thought... More

This is the most amazing restaurant in Albuquerque- the salt and pepper ribs are my favorite! Also just tried the tawainese beef noodle soup - enough for two and wonderful with the green onion pancake!!

I grew up in New York City, Brooklyn to be exact, where there is a Chinese Restaurant every 5 blocks. Good, hot, fast takeout is every New Yorker's birthright. When I moved to ABQ I missed the food I used to eat twice a week for over forty years. Then it was Xmas time and this Jewish Girl wanted her... More

We have been several times and every meal at Budai has been great! Chicken curry, vege fried rice, duck....anything you get is terrific! Serves beer/wine.

I recently visited Budai and the quality didn't disappoint. However, as prices are going up, the quantity is decreasing. Beware, that the lunch menu doesn't include soup and the small portions with leave the average eater hungry. Service is indifferent. A better bet is ChinChan on the west side.

This is one of the most highly rated Chinese restaurants in the area, but beware, food is just ok and is very expensive! My go to is Kung Pao chicken and I order it nearly everytime. It varies in what is included. Usually, red peppers, peanuts, chicken, green peppers a few carrots and sometimes celery. I ordered the Kung Pao... More

Whatever you order will be delicious. The curry chicken (make it spicy), the fried rice, shrimp dumplings, beef w/jalapeno....it is all good! Beer, wine & sake available.

We've just had too much cheap and nasty Chinese food that we give it a pass, always. You know what I mean: glutinous sauces, glossy with cornstarch, globs of tasteless vegetables, super-sweet and full of MSG, overcooked and steam-tabled platefuls. My sis in ABQ suggested Budai for lunch. Well. Well well well. We started with the steamed dumplings, plopped onto... More

We were fortunate to use the reviews from Trip Advisor to find a Chinese Restaurant for dinner. The reviews were very accurate. The server suggested the Crispy Flounder with Black Vinegar. It was amazing. Large portion, enough to share. We also had the Combination LoMein. It too was excellent. Service was friendly and prompt. If we weren't passing through, we... More
