Wait in line and order and / or pick out what you want. You can dine in our pick out sandwiches and drinks to go. Nice convenience there. Prices are OK for this this kind of place. We ordered the burritos (very good I recommend them for value and taste) and hamburgers ( nothing special and quite small). No French... More

Quaint and set up like a Rt. 66 Diner. Good food and, besides, there's nothing else for miles. Had burgers & chips that were tasty. Refill your drink cups with ice & water for your park excursion .Relax & enjoy!!

This is a great stop after a day of breathtaking views of the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. I had the cheeseburger and it hit the spot. The gift shop is a must also. They close at 3:30, so you want to get there early. What a great day!

We have been listening to trip advisor recs all week! And have not been disappointed yet again! My husband and i both ordered the burro burrito. It was reasonably priced and tasty. The employees were not particularly friendly but we would come again and do rec for anyone who wants a quick tasty bite!

We had a wonderful breakfast at the Painted Desert Diner inside of the Harvey's Store at Petrified Forest National Park. It is cafeteria style, with extensive menu choices. The food was freshly prepared. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage was delicious, and French toast was scrumptious. We arrived early at the park, and ate breakfast before we began our... Really good food for a national park, I ordered the Navajo nachos with vegetarian chili and it was really delicious and plentiful.

You'll find this restaurant by the Painted Desert Visitor Center, and the sign out front called it the Painted Desert Diner during our most recent visit. This was toward the end of our Southwest national park road trip, and we had learned to be very underwhelmed with any food inside of the national parks. That being said, this spot was... More

This restaurant is hidden in the back of the gift shop. This is located near the gas station. The food was good and filling. By far, the best choice was the Navajo Taco.

This restaurant is behind the gift shop at the petrified forest visitors center, but don't pass it up! We came in after a hot day of hiking so the friendly staff, air conditioning, and homemade food were welcoming. Also the Navajo Taco that I ordered was delicious! I could eat one every day for lunch and be happy. Notice too... More

Man, what a God send. These fine folks were so sweet and helpful, food is fantastic and they even have a half & half (half fries, half onion rings) option! Highly recommend!
