My wife and I go out to eat a lot and we love to try new restaurants.. We go to Park City and Salt Lake quite often just to try new places. I read a few reviews from the New Yorker in SLC and we decided to try Valentines there. The food was fantastic.. The flavors, the ambience and the... More

Recently returned to the New Yorker for a private lunch event, and they were at the top of their game!! All the entrees plated, served within few minutes....salads crisp, and fresh! And dessert more than tasty!! We bring our own wines, and are given support re glasses, and whatever else we need. Having valet parking at the door is more... More

So lets start by saying the resturant can be a bit pricey. So if you're on a budget I wouldn't recommend. Cons - parking can be a bit of a pain. So be prepared to pay for parking. Which most place in SLC are. The inside does look a bit outdated and could use a remodel. Pros - They have... More

I can't say enough about the service we had here! They put all 11 of us in a private room, filled it with balloons and were there to serve our every need. We all had beautiful dishes ranging from salmon to prime rib to lamb. The service here is wonderful. I highly recommend the New Yorker for an unforgettable evening.

I hate to say it but it is probably time for a refresh at this classic SLC eating establishment. The decor that I used to see as charming now is just starting to look tired and dated (stained ceiling tiles for example). The food from a quality and taste perspective is being left behind by other restaurants in the area.... More

Have been coming here for many years, and this was one of the best meals at the New Yorker. Being an epicurean, I have been to most upscale restaurants around town, and this place has a sense of class. Highly recommended!

Excellent fare. I was there for a continuing medical education event and had the beef. Would highly recommend. I tasted the salmon and a chicken dish as well and both were superb! Very intimate setting for dining and talking. Very lovely restaraunt.

Great place just 3 blocks from temple square. The atmoshphere is great with nice decor and piano music. The food is excellent and the service is attentive without being overbearing. Wonderful menu.

The food was very average. Eclectic menu but the flavors were muted. Thought about ordering a steak but couldn't imagine paying 53 bucks here. The service was OK even though the place was deserted. Server dripped wine on tablecloth.... really?

Expensive restaurant. food quality was above average. Waitress was more like what you would expect at Denny's. Service was spotty. For the price point it should have been excellent.
