I've been here several times. The food has always been good. Service has always been attentive and prompt. The wait is always annoying.

It isn't just for tourists. Great reputation from locals too! One problem it is so popular that there is frequently a long wait. Solution: Got to Red Iguana 2. It's not far and equally good.

I have a confession to make, I’m a Mexican food snob. There, I said it. I can’t really feel bad about it however, because after all I am Mexican and have been around some very good Mexican food Both traditional and non-traditional. I preface this review with a confessional because it would be unfair to assume I know what I’m... More

Hands down some of the best Mexican food in the state. If you never have had true mole` this is the place. The food is all home made and extremely tasty. Order the small Mole` sampler so you can taste them all, before you order. The wait staff has always been friendly. Both locations of on the small side so... More

If you like mole, there are a number of dishes here that you will love. But the menu is extensive. I can't imagine anyone having trouble finding multiple dishes they like. I stopped for lunch one rainy day, and the food was fantastic. Even the chips and salsa were better than I've had elsewhere. The restaurant appears to have been... More

This is a SLC institution. If you are reading this, you haven't eaten here yet, otherwise you would already be in line. On second thought, don't go- shorter wait for me.

The food and the ambiance go together for a exciting meal. The are busy but it's worth the wait. Bring a camera for the sign and funky decor.

Every time I eat at the Red Iguana the service is excellent. They have delicious food and my favorite is the chili verde. Being from California it's hard to find excellent Mexican food in Utah. I love it! It's the best in the state!

I could go into a long description of why I love Red Iguana. So much of it centers around food and service quality. I suggest that you just go there, preferably early or late lunch, because many many like minded folks will have the same idea and be there ahead of you!

Best Mexican I've had. Dined solo on business trip. I arrived around 4:30pm on a Friday and it was already pretty busy but the service was great! Food came pretty quickly and was out of this world!! I stop here every time I pass through Salt Lake City - it's a must!
