Staying in Fox Glacier we didn't want anything too sophisticated to eat so the Cook Saddle Cafe was ideal. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, the menu pretty extensive and the prices reasonable. The ribs and fries were excellent. We enjoyed it sufficiently to go back a second night.

This restaurant visit started with a friendly greeting at the door and the level of service was outstanding. We were particularly impressed by the waiter pointing out the meals that had just been delivered s few tables over and this swayed our decision on what to order. The meals were large and very tasty. We had the sirloin and the... More

We arrived in Fox Glacier on a very cold day and found this amazing place to have some lunch. The open fire and friendy staff were so warming. The food was absolutely delicious.

We were shopping at a souvenir shop near our hotel when we overhead a talk about delicious pork ribs. That's how we ended up choosing this restaurant. We were not disappointed at all. The best pork ribs ever. Large helping too if you order the Two-rib plate. The battered fish was filling too. The menu said it came with chips... More

We got our coffee here before climbing up to Fox Glacier. Then we came back to takeaway our dinner. We ordered beef ribs which was good. And a couple of other main courses. All OK. The service was fast and good. I just had to get another cup of coffee since I got frozen from our rainy climb earlier. A... More

The service here was mediocre and the food was not too bad. Wait for a good table if possible. While I liked the bean burrito, the salad had a funny taste to it. The layout of the restaurant is a bit strange leading to many seats being less than ideal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here! We picked this place as it was the cheapest & it was great. The food was delicious & wasn't overly expensive. The meals were also big which was great! Loved the nachos & burgers! Spaghetti was a bit on the small side for price.

Just the place for beer or three and for a well priced tasty meal from a varied menu in a busy pub, popular with locals and visitors alike.

Very busy and great atmosphere. We had to wait for a table but only for 10 minutes or so. Good menu with great food and service.

Headed back to the town after Fox Glacier Hike. The interior is nicely done. Very impressed with the a lady (perhaps is Suzanne) who served the entire lunch crowd herself and was extremely fast and efficient. Food was good, I tried the Pork Ribs and the portion is huge.
