Pepe could be a great place but on Mondays and Tuesdays they're simply oversreched .With no other alternatives in town , the place is crowded, and service falls short .While the food is ok , and with no other alternatives around prepare yourselves for long waiting times and other dinner " surprises"

We went to this restaurant as it was the only one open Tairua I really felt sorry for the staff as they couldn't cope and they were so pleasant . The other restaurants in this area do not open Monday/Tuesday . Food was average they could be make a fortune if they organised themselves better

An absolutely perfect location, stopped in for lunch and had the most yummiest meat pie. Purchased some bottled water that was a life saver for the rest of the trip. Will be back, I'm owed a coffee.

Two dishes - one good, one not so good. The lamb shank was lovely - it would be hard to mess up a lamb shank! The belly pork was tough and probably not cooked slow enough or long enough. I had to swop with my wife as she couldn't eat it. The tables weren't laid out that well and it... More

We stopped here for an evening meal on our way back from hot water beach. The food was excellent and fresh. The server was very nice and attentive. Overall the wait for our order seemed a tad slow since they did not appear to be that busy. But the food was worth the wait. The restaurant offers free wifi service... More

We ate here on a quiet evening. The food was reasonable, chicken dish and lamb shanks. Service was very slow. People who had come in after us, received meals before us. However, our plates were cleared the minute we finished. Otherwise we were completely ignored. We decided to give dessert a miss.

We had dinner here four nights in a row. All the meals we tried were excellent - fish and chips, lam shank, salmon, steak, snapper... no complaints at all. Service was good, especially the young Kiwi fellow with the cheeky sense of humour!

We had dinner there. It was lovely and fresh and a very generous serving. Staff were onto it as it was very busy the night we were there. Plus the wine was responsibly priced.

This was a good place to dine and the prices very reasonable. Food is very good and the service provided was excellent. This place may be low on atmosphere but the food and location is worth the stop.

Thank Charles A
