A great country pub

This is a booming little pub filled with locals and offering great pub meals. The menu is extensive and includes pizzas and the usual pub fare. Service was friendly albeit not highly skilled. Being a Wednesday it was pot and Parma night and the variety of parma’s was impressive - even a lasagne Parma! I don't recommend coming here if you are vegetarian as the only choice was pasta Alfredo which one of our party had and she enjoyed it. I had the seafood basket which included fresh grilled local flake, tempura battered scallops, prawns and calamari. I ordered it with salad and vegetables. It was well cooked, a huge serve and delicious. Hubby had the beef ribs which he enjoyed. The portions are enormous. We enjoyed the meal and would go again. My only criticism is their was a long wait for the meals but they were very busy and doing a roaring trade of take always as well so they are forgiven. I will be back.

Good country food

Went for Sunday lunch, found a extensive menu with most of the usual pub food including pizza. Fairly quick service and good food for a country pub.

The service was okay, but was a disappointingly average pub. Have been to better ones. There was a rather limited selection of beers on tap.

Pan fried seafood was a half handful mix of marinara from frozen packet from Asia, tossed through lettuce yuk! The flake n salad .. salad was bought from local IGA.. we had 4 meals n they were all overpriced, misleading menu, not a good experience.. try somewhere else in town.. wish we had. VERY SHABBY!

Terrible, health hazard.

Had lunch here today with my parent & my little one. Little to no table service, & to top it off my partners Parma was raw. She’s pregnant & has consumed raw chicken. Temperature should be checked on all meals before sending them out. Really disappointed, was first offered a full refund & then waiter come back & informed it would be half a refund. Go to port Campbell pub for an amazing meal. This place sucks. Hire better cooks please

Super little pub

Perfect Country Pub meals

I've been here a few times recently and the food and service has only gotten worse with time. Ordered 2 Parmas that took over 1 hour to come out, when food finally arrived it was just slammed down in front of us by the young waitress, who also didn't smile or look like she wanted to be working at all! Not a single person on our table was happy with the meals nor where they impressed with the wait time. The chicken parmas where absolutely foul also, No sauce on them, the side salad also tasted horrible.

Great country atmosphere , the rooms where we stayed where a bit ordinary. The food was piled on and cooked to perfection . Great family atmosphere for us to enjoy. Local very friendly

What I expected. Pleasant, clean and a nice setting. Staff friendly and food normal pub fare. Had fish and was certainly eatable but just nothing to write home about. I would go again if in Timboon which is such a pretty town.

A lot of town History

Disappointing

Called in while in the area thought we may as well have lunch 26/12/17 meal was reasonable but really if somebody walks into your business say hello hi how may i help you they place just does not have anything going for it no atmosphere at all here's ya drink here's ya meal that's it not what i would expect from a local pub at all these sorts of places are struggling to keep the doors open and maybe they had a big christmas day and were very hung over or maybe they just don't like strangers either way its not the old country pub you would expect

Interesting pub with good food

Good pub that has recently changed hands. We found the staff great and the clientele friendly. Food was good and the beer cold. We have made it a regular stop in our travels to Phillip Island for the motorcycle racing.

New Owners - food fantastic

Had a meal tonight with three friends at the recently renovated Railway View hotel/motel in Timboon Victoria. It was formally known as the Timboon hotel. The food was delicious and served quickly. The staff were very friendly and service great. All four meals were delicious, not a crumb left. Actually the meals were so some of the best anywhere I’ve visited in the world👌. I gave it five stars and Emma the chef is a fabulous cook
