Good value for good ice cream

Great service here. We saw the owner let the local kids still have the ice cream even when they didn't have enough money with them. Son had chocolate and I had turkish delight. Both were great and cheaper than what you'd pay in the city.

Love ice cream? This is the place for you!

Titillating flavour choices will make it hard to stop at one! Mini tubs on offer for your to purchase & take with you too. Whiskey cream, apple pie, mmm.... my favourites. Plenty of parking, with outside eating are in park land surrounds & great little town to visit!

This was a happy accident. On our way to the 12 Apostles we saw signs for the Timboon Ice Creamery (ok, and we overheard someone saying how amazing the ice cream was), so we decided to check it out for ourselves. When we arrived there was a queue, which we took as a good sign. It wasn’t long before it was our turn to order. In order cup we had “Apple Pie” and “Passionfruit Meringue”, in the 2nd cup we had “Honeycomb” and “Turkish Delight”. We were not disappointed. Each flavour tasted as you would expect and there was a twinge on sadness when we realised we had finished....so we went again the next day and got a scoop of “White Chocolate and Raspberry” and “Maple and Cinnamon”. While both enjoyable, the maple cinnamon was definitely the hero out of these two. Would highly recommend making the stop in the little town of Timboon.

We were staying down the GOR and a friended kept saying you have to go to the Ice cream shop in Timboon and first of all never heard of Timboon and nor the Ice Cream shop but decoded to drive there. They have dog Ice cream and the person serving us gave us two scoops for our GSD and she loved it. The selection and service was soooo good and we actually noticed it back in a store near us in Newport so we now buy it regularly. Timboon it self is such a beautiful little country town and glad we went there

Ice cream parlor which is a family-owned business.

Timboon Ice cream are quite famous. It's sold at the 12 Apostle kiosk at GOR and they also have a branch in Port Campbell. We came early just before noon (for ice-cream!!! ) so there wasn't any line at all. The ice-cream was great with many flavours to choose from. There are also some wooden games on the eating table to keep kids entertain. It's a family-owned business and you're supporting Timboon's own economy.

Well it was the middle of winter 12 degrees and we still had to queue up. That’s how good it is ! The flavours available were so interesting, there were only two that I didn’t want .... it’s not overpriced and the girls serving were lovely and very efficient. There is a lovely outdoor area and garden.

The Timboon mobile ice cream truck pops up at Clunes

Whenever I have the chance to have Timboon Ice Cream ... I buy it. At the Clunes Book weekend, Jamie was manning the cart and serving up the waffle cones. What a great ambassador for great ice cream. The raspberry/whic chocolate was delectable and my friend really enjoyed the honeycomb. Praise also for Jamie's concern and attention to the "OHS" ensuring that steps were safe for all. Thumbs up for great service and attitude.

Love Timboon Icecream!

I must admit that we regularly do the drive from Warrnambool to Timboon for this delicious icecream! (My kids are even visiting today!) We love trying all the different flavours and the staff are so friendly. It's set in beautiful surroundings which are lovely sit in. If you are making a trip along the Great Ocean Road then definitely put a detour inland to Timboon on your list. It's a gem of a town. And if you are impressed by the 12 apostles just wait until you see Timboon Fine Icecreams creations ;)

Good ice cream experience

Solid ice cream spot that lots of sites recommended. The ice cream was very good but not anything that we would drive miles and miles out of the way for. If around Timboon it's worth a stop....My wife had rhubarb/raspberry and carmel pecan while I had honeycomb and passion fruit meriingue.

Ice cream from the ice cream god

The best, creamiest, smoothest, tastiest ice cream you could dream of eating - EVER! My pick of the bunch would have to be licorice. I liked it that much I ate it twice a day for 4 days. Sadly I then had to return to South Australia where Timboon ice cream is not available. All the more reason for holidays to Victoria!!

An unexpected but great little find

This ice creamery is an unexpected but great little find in country Victoria. A great selection of flavours available in a cone or a cup. Due to COVID there was no sampling allowed. Nice seated area outside to sit and enjoy your purchase.

What a shame

Nice ice cream, but very disappointed with the overall experience. No chairs or tables outside. Had to sit on the wooden deck like idiots. Main door from the shop to the deck closed so had to embarrassingly shuffle past all the waiting customers. No bins outside for rubbish. Toilets closed “due to COVID-19” which is completely illegal. They couldn’t care less about their customers.

Hello Malcolm, we are so pleased you enjoyed the ice cream as we have worked long and hard to make it deliciously creamy! Unfortunately COVID-19 has had a huge impact on our business as it has on many others. To comply with reopening regulations we chose to remain a take-away only venue. If we provided seating we would have to take every customers name and contact number and then once they leave, clean the table and chairs then sanitise them. As you could imagine for the sake of a $6 regular ice cream this would end up costing us considerably in staff wages. Not many of our staff qualified for JobKeeper as they are mostly school aged. As a take-away venue we are not required to provide toilet facilities. It's unfortunate you felt embarrassed passing other customers. The decision to close the door onto the deck was to ensure we could manage only 20 customers are in the shop as per regulations. The safety and wellbeing of our staff and customers is paramount to our business and we pride ourselves on providing the best possible experience during the pandemic. We hope you will visit us again when we are all able to return to COVID- normal life.

Ice cream Unmasked

Can hardly deprive the kids an Icecreamery visit when in Timboon. Tried to convince them to try something different but told NO. Usuals please: double scoop Cookies & Cream plus Mint Choc. Exit, unmask and devoured.

Scrumptious Ice cream

Scrumptious Ice cream. Creamy and full of flavour. I tasted the maple and cinnamon, and the Apple Pie ice cream. It was hard to stop at one scoop! My husband relished the raspberry and white chocolate ice cream. There was no big crowds on this chilly day, but a steady stream of people. Well worth a visit.

I heard this was a must visit in Victoria. Did a day road trip to Timboon from Ballarat for the famous ice cream. A very modern Ice creamery on the edge town. Many great flavours to choose from. I wish the licorice flavour was stronger. Although the ice cream was great, I won't drive all the way TimBoon again for ice cream.
