What's not to like about 4 talented guys playing different types of music from Cuba, Brazil, Ecuador, and Venezuela! And the tea was a new taste sensation. Thanks Guys!

The coffee is amazing and the staff is extremely friendly. They use local coffee and chocolate. I had the Mochaccino. The chocolate is smooth. I've bought Ecuadorian chocolate before, this cafe has it on hand to purchase by the bar. Looking forward to coming in several more times before we leave.

Beautiful garden area was a great place to have a cappuccino or glass of Weitig, Ecuadorian sparking water (aqua con gaz). Picked up chocolate covered coffee beans.

My husband and I stopped here every afternoon during our stay in Mindo to enjoy a pick-me-up cup of cappuccino. Loved the beautiful and romantic setting in both the restaurant and the lovely garden. We only enjoyed coffee here, but we did notice that live music was happening that evening. Looks like a great place for after dark entertainment in... More

Mindo is a small town, and there's not much to do after dark. So this place is the one place where you can go after dinner and listen to music, and it doesn't disappoint. The band was great the night we were there, with a mixture of all sorts of Andean music - from Columbia, Peru and Ecuador. It's not... More

Live music from Wednesday to Saturday. Great people. The only alternative and cultural place to find in Mindo.

We just went in for a coffee a couple of times. Nice place, friendly staff and apparently they have live music some evenings. Pretty good coffee and better than usual selection of teas, plus very very tasty chocolate brownie! The only proper food they have is chilli, which from other reviews might not be worth bothering with.... It's right opposite... More

Caskaffesu is an Hostal and a great place to go to experience some of the best live Ecuadorian, Venezuelan, and other Latin music for a song. Last time I was there it was only a $3.00 cover charge. This place is one of the oldest establishments in Mindo, and there is real atmosphere. Although it is no longer a restaurant,... More

I went with some friends to try the food. They had chili with meat. It is not a joke, the ingredients came from a can, the chillI had champiñones (from Can), it also had the worst quality oliveS. First of all man: chillI does not go with those ingredients and specially the very bad quality. It also had very weird... More

very quaint place with Andean music at night (not sure if it is every night) with players from Ecuador, Columbia and Venezuela, with a woman perhaps from America(?) joining them later who is excellent on the pipes!, They are all excellent, versatile players. the food/drinks were very overpriced considering there is a cover charge of $3 as well.
