Just finished having lunch at Lane's. Great service, well paced and friendly. Nice atmosphere and great location. My spouse had the halibut burger and I had the fish and chips. They say never order fish on Monday, but this place didn't get that memo. This was hands down the best fish I've ever had! The light and tasty batter was... More

We're fairly local so we know the food around here. Lane's could always be recommended for decent food fairly priced but now their new menu sets a higher standard while remaining good value. Gone are many of the deep-fried offerings that everybody has. The remaining fish 'n chips however are, as before great fresh-cut fries but with a new gluten-free... More

Hello Jeffrey~ Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are very excited about the new menu and the direction that we are going with our food. We have always supported local but with this menu we take it a step further by only using free range chickens, sustainable seafood and meats. We are answering the requests of our... More

Was out for a drive and was told to stop in at Lane's. The food was quick and awesome. We really liked the all the books and the cool little shop next door. The only off thing was the loud ambient music that seemed to be on repeat. Place is awesome without it.

Hello Jamie~ Thank you for dining with us and for writing this great review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your visit. The music must have been stuck on repeat and when we are busy we don't always notice the music. I wish that someone had pointed this out to us. Easy fix that would have made your experience... More

Spent over 2 weeks touring Nova Scotia, this place was by far the best place we ate. Super friendly staff, superb location (managed to catch the sun going down by the water, in between courses). If the weather permits, try and get a table out back in the garden, just perfect.

A late lunch was served in a timely manner. Their Club Sandwich was an 8 out of 10 on my scale. The fries were crisp and tastefully seasoned. The atmosphere was interesting and the street side view was ok. Value was about an average rating.

Beautiful patio setting for lunch with view of the river. The BEST lobster rolls. Did not spend the night but would definitely do so given the chance.

A nice location on the Mersey, with good food, the service is good but a little slow. A nice spot and worth a visit.

Met some friends for dinner on Friday night. It was Lane's Curry night so my husband and I both decided to have the Curry special. The dish was delicious. Not too hot but with the right amount of spice. For dessert we decided on the lemon cheesecake with a shortbread crust. Talk about good, it was absolutely delicious! I was... More

We were forced to change our travel plans at the last minute over the Christmas period so were very pleased when Lane's had space for us for their Christmas Day meal during a busy period. We were not disappointed. We arrived early and had time to browse the attached shop which is well worth a visit in its own right... More
